I wish I’d bought this years ago. I have struggled with back and neck pain since a car accident in 2006. I’ve tried tons of gadgets, most ended up collecting dust in my closet because they just didn’t work. I have found acupuncture to be effective, but it’s expensive and difficult to find the time in my schedule. I bought this after eying a much more expensive version for months. I figured, at this price, what do I have to lose? I was apprehensive about using it the first time because those little spikes are sharp! I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really didn’t “hurt”, it mostly felt like a sort of prickly heat at first, and then after a few minutes I just felt warm and relaxed. The best part is that, after just one use, a painful knot in my shoulder that I had medicated for a week was almost completely gone. I have used the neck pillow independently a few times, positioning it to hit spots where I’m having pain, and within hours of use, the pain is gone or significantly subsided. Unlike many other things I’ve purchased, I actually look forward to using this because the endophin-fueled relaxation is awesome. About the product itself- the construction and materials are fairly cheap. I could see how the cotton might stretch over time or the styrofoam inside the mat might break down. For the latter issue, there’s a velcro opening at the bottom where the mat could be removed and replaced. I do like the inclusion of a carrying bag, as I will definitely be taking this with me when I travel. Overall, for the price, I think the quality is as expected, and, frankly, I really don’t care because the product is so effective. I highly recommend it.

I bought this on a whim along with a bunch of other things to help with my discomfort because due to working in front of the computer all day in a high stress job for years I have been waking up so tense and feeling like not a single muscle in my body relaxed overnight. Along with that came constant anxiety and inability to relax. Time to time I go get a rmt massage which helps for a couple hours but was not a long term solution or something I can do often due to cost.I got this mat yesterday, was looking into some alternate brands that are 10-30x more expensive too but at the end of the day if it doesnt work I am only out of 35$ as opposed to 300.placed it on the floor, took of my tshirt and lied on it. It wasn't as painful as I anticipated, after the first 5-8 minutes of discomfort you do get that warm sensation on your back and along with that came the BEST relaxation I have ever experienced in YEARS. It was as if all the muscles in my back relaxed for the first time, I almost cried from the relief. I had the best sleep I can remember in recent memory and when I woke up I wasn't tense at all.I tried stepping on the mat with bare feet this morning and that was an amazing experience as well. Jolts you awake better than coffee let me tell you!I can't recommend it enough. The product itself is cheap quality. It has a piece of soft white foam inside and will probably not last long with constant usage but that is ok since it's only 35$.
