So much storage.
So here's some stuff you might want to know. It is in fact easy to install, but getting it to register in Windows is something else entirely. This isn't the fault of the HDD, it's the Operating System. So I'm going to tell you how to get around it. 1) Google EaseUS Partition Manager. 2) Buy EaseUS Partition Manager for $40. 3) Use that to Format and Partition the Drive as Basic GPT. Voila your drive is now a 7.28TB Drive in Windows instead of 3x 2TB Drives and one with some change. Now I know, "the Drive is supposed to be 8TB", but the way a GB is measured means all drives in Windows are actually less then what they are capable of. You can google this for yourself for a better explanation. Otherwise just trust me, everything is as it should be.

Great for Video Game storage
Firstly i bought this from ebay, but its still the same item id like to leave my thoughts on it. installation Desktop Gaming PC: its a 3.5inch drive it came in a fancy retail art printed box with 5 years warrenty, No Cables included with the drive, make sure you have cables already or order some you going to need a data sata cable and one free power plug to power it, this drive was brand new never been used you can tell since it was never initialized, i had to go into diskmanagement format it giving it a letter for it to even appear on "This PC". Opperation & Performance: i just started installing games from steam, uplay, EA etc on it theres roughly 120 games on it on it now with 2.12TB free space left, it installed games flawlessly without skipping a beat, it loads games fast too for a HDD i cant really fault it, seems far better than the Barracuda varient. Noise: its got a slight noise when its working on something kinda sounds like a type writer i think its normal? drive seems to be working good no errors or anything like that pc starts up fine its just got a noticable noise like hum hum hum humhum hum :). Overall: plenty of space for games, fast speed and it seems to be doing its job well, bit expencive but its got a reputation for been heavy duty, we need the best performance we can get for games thats contantly reading and writing, im happy with it so far after 1 month use.

Its noticeably faster than normal drives but not as fast as a full blown SSD, but for sure alot cheaper for the 8TB I got! I bought two because I hate downloading things and I find it better to have long term storage vs having to wait for inflation to ruin it. I strongly recommend this drive as a secondary drive. my personal tip to you gamers is use a 1TB at least for Windows or whatever OS you use and then this drive for all your other content for much more ease in gaming or whatever it is you do. Just remember the drive won't just pop up like a USB on Windows and you will have to search "Partition" bottom left screen to spot the drive unassigned to a format and all, it will ask if you want GPT or some older version so go with GPT and you can label it "Local Disk" and then select what letter you want but I always go with "D" for the 2nd drive that way it's all less confusing in the future, but if you want to learn that the hard way do what you need to do but I feel like you might need to start over one day with setting it up. anyways I recommend this drive for sure, great for gaming. Good luck to you buyers.

I booted my PC one morning and I noticed one of my folders in my HDD just randomly vanished. So I rebooted my PC then the HDD started making beeping?/strange sounds and after some troubleshooting it just died while my pc was on. It's a shame because when it was working it's one of the better HDD's I've used (quiet, fast, VFM). But oh man the SEAGATE support team are of absolutely no help at all and the reason for this review... The drive has 5 year warranty as stated above but they don't even ship to Australia. 4 stars for the performance of the HDD and 1 star for the support.
