USA Hospital recommended.
For my newborn. The hospital wouldn't accept any other option with a approval process.

Really good product
This is thick and easy to administer. I place a drop on bottle nipple or pacifier and baby easily ingests and keeps down. Pediatrician recommended one drop at time of birth and one drop per week for 12 weeks, which is what she did with her own kids. While at the hospital, I gave my newborn a few drops of this after her birth and when they did the standard heel prick, my baby barely bled. The tech even made a comment on how hard it was to get enough blood for the test. I’d say this works well. We are on week seven and my baby is very healthy and strong! This is expensive but very well worth it in my opinion.

CHECK BEFORE ADMINISTRATION-WRONG ITEM BEING SENT
My midwife suggested I buy these vit k drops for my newborn as we opted for oral vit k instead of injection. I ordered them and my midwife administered a 4 drop loading dose within an hour if my baby's birth. My baby was lethargic and wouldn't nurse for the first 12 hours. She had a rapid heart rate and lost more than 10% of her body weight in the first 4 days.At 1 week I went to give her the second dose of vit k and I realized the amazon bar code label covered up the manufacturing label. When I took that off I was SHOCKED to find that I had been sent high concentration vit D NOT vit k. The daily recommended dose of vit d for an infant is 400 IUs, this concentration was 2000 IUs per DROP and my baby was given 4 drops. She had 20 times the appropriate dose of vit d and NO vit k. Yes the midwife shouldn't have administered the drug without being able to read the full label. However, this is extremely shady and dangerous and all parents need to be careful when ordering supplements from Amazon. My baby does not seem to have lasting effects from the vit d toxicity but we have to take her in for blood work today. She is 9 days old.The label looks exactly like the one pictured except it is Vit D not Vit K.Not only was my child overdosed on vit d , she didn't get any vit k. So along with the vit d toxicity, she is also at risk for developing a spontaneous bleed anytime in the first 6 months cause we are out of our window to begin oral vit k protocol.Buyer beware

Great alternative to Vit K injection for Newborn
So thankful to have this as an option instead of the vitamin K injection (which had a black box warning) for my newborn baby. With this all her labs have been normal and we’ve had no issues with bruising/bleeding whatsoever. According to our midwifes advice we give the droops orally, at birth and then weekly until 3 months of age- pretty simple, just set a reminder on your phone or amidst all the joyful chaos of having a bee baby you may forget! 😉 my girl has done fine taking them without any problem.

Gold standard for this product
For infants. I didn’t taste it so can’t comment on that. It’s a good value but wish it wasn’t so expensive. Best form to give infants and toddlers. If not cutting off the infants foreskin tho, not sure how necessary it is. But giving it is standard procedure - usually a shot in hospital. However these drops are preferred over that invasion.
