The Essential Asian Cookbook (Essential Cookbooks Series)

This is one of just a couple of "go to" Asian cook books I own....the recipes are authentic (though, as with all cookbooks, there are still plenty of real life variations that still qualify as "authentic"!!!) .....I love to cook, and having lived in Asia for many years, I have had the opportunity to eat "the real deal" around the region....and the recipes in this book offer a wonderful way to take a culinary tour of the region at your own dining table, no matter where you live. And if you don't live in the region, finding all the ingredients is half the fun for many of these dishes. Absolutely recommended.

I was so impressed with this book of Essential Asian Cooking that I got more for friends and family. It gave backgrounds of Asian countries, uses and pictures of spices to use. I can not thank the writers of this book enough for their expert putting together of Oriental cooking. I love to cook stir frys, about 5 times a week, and today I am making a whole Asian dinner for family members from this book, even down to the appetizers.This book should be rated 10 not 5. This is absoultely one cookbook that everyone should own. We own the entire series and there is no other cookbook like it. There are beautiful pictures for every recipe and the recipes are very unique, interesting, and delicious. Several recipes will suggest ingredients that may be difficult or expensive to find but the recipes can also be simplified. My husband loves to cook and looooves this entire series of cookbooks. This cookbook will help any chef tap into their creativity and explore their passion for cooking and take it to a new level.

My fourteen year old grandson loves to cook Asian food so we purchased this as a Christmas gift. He’s already cooked three recipes and his dad has sent us photos each time!

When my eldest son went to University over twenty years ago I bought him this book and he still has it and still uses it. So with my younger son now 19 it was time to seek out another copy and hope that he enjoys iyt as much as I have over the years. Cuts the right line between making recipes achievable and authentic. Essential Asian Cookbook (Essential Cookbook) have had the book 3 days and have done 3 recipes its very well planned out and the photos are superb and a beef Rendang recipe outstanding curry try it?????

The Essential Asian Cookbook is beautifully laid out.I love that the pictures gives you a clear idea as to how the recipe should look.Essential Asian Cookbook is the second book that I've ordered, the first one was given to a friend who enjoys cooking and using different kinds of spices. Absolutely beautiful cookbook.
