Fiskars SoftGrip Micro-Tip Scissors - Fabric Scissors for Sewing, Arts, and Crafts - 5" Stainless Steel

I am a life long, left handed, textiles artist always looking for the best small scissors I can find. These scissors have it all: very sharp tips, silver stainless blades that show up well on dark fabrics, excellent cut, and a soft-on-the-fingers grip. I even prefer these to all the other small scissors Fishers makes!

These scissors were purchased primarily to replace a pair of embroidery scissors that I was using when I was sewing with my machine (trimming), since I do a lot of quilting. The other scissors just didn't quite cut it (pardon the pun) for some of the jobs I needed it to do, and I needed something that had a very precise and sharp tip. Woah! These are the bomb! I packed away my other pair of scissors and this pair of Fiskars sits next to my sewing machine religiously. Trimming corners and small spaces is a breeze now. Comfortable to hold and easy to grip, I don't know how I sewed for so long without them. A must-have if you are even a novice at sewing, as they do exactly what they say they will do -- they're easy to work with, soft on your fingers, easy to grip and snip off accurately in tight spaces. What a find!

I am a quilter and have been for years. I do very detailed applique work and couldn't do it with out these scissors. These scissors are comfortable in the hand (unless using for 4+ hours straight which I have and ouch!). I am able to cut ANY angle, curve, you name it and it can be done. Very small pieces to very large pieces. They are very sharp and I use only the best materials as they hold up through out the years of use, these materials tend to be thicker and harder to cut; not with these like butter! I have 4 pairs of these 1) fabrics only 2) papers only 3) miscellanous craft items only 4) for my husband/kids not to ruin my other pairs (I have issues sharing as in the past my stuff is ruined) You will not be sorry

I have been using Fiskars brand of scissors for the past 40 years! They are great for sewing, school use and home use. I guard my sewing scissors and even label them for sewing only as they will dull if used for purposes. Very sturdy. I am left handed and find these very comfortable.

Excellent craftsmanship of the blades. Very sharp. The pointed ends make me slightly nervous when handling the scissors, but they are very helpful for precision work. Definitely not for young kids. Would have liked a case or blade cover for storage given the sharpness of the point of the scissors. Store with care. They are excellent at cutting and trimming things like packing tape or duct tape as long as you periodically clean off any adhesive residue on the blades. I find that rubbing alcohol works well for adhesive residue; just make sure to leave it open to dry. Overall, this is a great small precision scissor with a very sharp point.

***** These are light and sturdy little scissors that are easily maneuverable and handy. They are so easy to work with when I do crafts that I think I will go to them before any of my other scissors. They are very comfortable to hold. The "micro-tip" is a special tip design that is very, very sharp and is supposed to stay that way, solving a common problem I've had with scissors of the tip dulling ahead of the rest of the blades. It also enables an extremely precise cut and extra-fine accuracy. I love these! I know that they are more expensive than several other similar scissors by other manufacturers but I would spend a bit more for these, as they have the Fiskars name for quality and I expect them to last a long time. Plus for just a few more dollars you get something that will really do the job. Highly recommended. *****

These sissors are really sharp and cut through things very easily. They seem to be very durable. They are a good value for the money. I use them for fly tying and cut hair feathers thread and other types of materials

Fantastic little scissors- great for tight spaces and extremely sharp. All the quality that is expected from Fiskars. Love the pointed ends- they are great for getting in corners. Only thing is that because they are so sharp, you have to be careful not to nip yourself!

Si vous ne connaissez pas ces ciseaux je vous assure que c’est un EXCELLENT produit. Certe le prix et très élevé mais à l’usage ont comprend pourquoi. Ils sont à la fois d’une précision redoutable et d’une robustesse rare surtout dans cette gamme des petits ciseaux. Alors oui ils sont cher mais ça vaut vraiment le coup. On en a trois à la maison dont certain depuis plus de cinq ans et on ne les a jamais aiguisé. L’essayer c’est l’adopter.

Good and sharp and able to fine cut right at the tip. Small enough to get into small spaces but tough enough to do the job. A little bit light weight in the hand so although they feel a bit flimsy, they’re not. Very sharp tip to them so watch that (not for young children).

Razor sharp and very comfortable to hold and manipulate! Excellent for getting into tight corners and around sharp curves! I can't speak to how well they will work with fabrics as I only use these for paper, but I suspect they would do an excellent job for that as well! I'd most certainly buy another pair if I needed to - though hopefully, with a lifetime guarantee, that won't need to be done for many years to come!
