TL;DR- Great for use while sleeping and trying to block out noise, listen to music, or playing anti-tinnitus background noise even if you sleep on your side. FULL REVIEW: I’ve used these earbuds for 2 months and am now confident enough to recommend them. I have tinnitus and the ringing in my ears at night drives me crazy so I use an old iPhone to play various sounds (rainstorms, crashing waves, airplane cabin white noise, etc) to help distract from the tinnitus. Powered earbuds never fit right and the battery doesn’t last very long, and traditional wired earbuds are too big to comfortably wear while sleeping on my side. These Hearprotek Sleep Earbuds are much smaller than regular earbuds and don’t cause ear pain while side sleeping. They fit securely and flush in your ear canal and sound pretty good even when playing music or watching videos. Don’t expect audiophile quality sound, but they’re still pretty good. The cable is rubberized and doesn’t tangle and the mic/volume control doesn’t accidentally get activated when you move around at night. I’ve enjoyed using them and when these initial 2 pairs eventually need to be replaced I’ll definitely buy them again.

I'm just going to echo all the positive comments from other reviewers here, cause these buds deserve it. These are extremely slim and form fitting inside of your ear, and are very comfortable because of it. The trade off to this design is that the ear tips are not removeable and fused to the soft rubberized housing of the buds. Whomever did their homework for these buds did an excellent job creating the shape of them. Not only do they sit very flush inside the ear, but they don't in any way poke out awkwardly when you lay on your side. You'll be feeling the cable long before you feel the bud, if that makes any sense. Contrary to some reports, these have no active noise cancellation. Any noise that is blocked out is purely coincidental due to the sealing of the ear canal, if you happen to have smaller ones like me. The remote works fine if you have an old school port that detects it. I'm actually using mine through a Bluetooth to female 3.5mm adapter which doesn't register it at all. I'm sure anyone else using it normally would be fine, alongside USB-C to 3.5mm female. Like others, I've been using random wired earbuds for sleep for a long time now. I only listen to white noise tracks (rain, wind, fireplace, fan, etc) so the sound quality for me is fine. I probably am sure if you're a music aficionado, these probably won't be up to spec. But they're extremely comfortable, and as a side sleeper they are an absolute blessing. One major drawback (and the only one I can think of) is that these are more difficult to clean since you can't remove the tips. The material is also a bit "tacky" so lint likes to get attracted to it and stick.

I’m a side sleeper and I’ve tried lots of different brands of low cost so called sleeping ear buds. The problem is that most claim to be comfortable for side sleepers. The fact is that most just end up leaving your ears soar and wasting your money. These are different. They are very small, lightweight, soft, and sound pretty good for the price. Plus you get two and a nice little zip case to boot. Held back one star for durability, but the truth is that most earbuds in this price range lack durability. That being said, the pros outweigh the cons. If you need to sleep on your side listening to something comfortably, try these out.

This style is so small it fits comfortably in my ears and dosen't stick out, so if or when I roll over on my side I don't feel them at all. Unlike the typical large hard plastic type of ear buds which always drove me crazy, but I have smaller ear canals for the common styles out there. These are specific to Left and Right sides to make them fit and marked as such. Even after extended wear I dont even feel them in my ear unlike my previous wired buds. These were purchased for solely listening to videos and pod casts, not so much my music playlist. So the sound expectation is below that of my jbl's. The sound is very clear and crisp, but just not as rich for serious music listening, although I've used them for that too. But the comfort level is far beyond that of my high end bluetooth sets and when lying in bed with these the trade off for me in comfort is more than expected. Another plus is the 90° plug adapter which makes it easier to handle when plugged into my tablet, sits nice and flush. There is more than plenty cord length to give you maneuvering room when lying down. And It came with two sets to boot. Thought about giving it 4 stars due to the sound quality for music is just not there. But the comfort these provide far out weighs that one issue for me. So I'm sticking with 5. So if your looking for comfort while in bed lying down or extended wear, these are it. And did I mention it blocks out other outside noises like significant others too?

These are my favorite ear buds. Although they are made for sleeping, I wear them all the time. They fit my ear (normal male ear) well and they do not protrude out of the ear so sleeping in them doesn’t cause any discomfort. I am always pulling on the cord in bed when they get wrapped around the pillow or I roll over on the cord. The ear buds do not pop out of the ear easily so they stay in all night. The only issue is the plug will bend and loose connection after a lot of tugging and pulling, but they don’t cost much. The sound is good as well. Not like head phones or expensive ear buds, but these are good for listening to music or meditation while going to sleep.

They are comfortable, sound good, but don't last long

I've been using these nightly for about two weeks. Comfortable and good sound. Not audiophile grade, but not bad either. So far, so good!

By far my favorite sound-related purchase. I like to listen to music to help me fall asleep and stay asleep and this suits me perfectly. I tend to sleep on my sides and it fits comfortably in my ears. I use an adapter for it to work on my iphone and it works perfectly fine. The sound quality is great, it is indeed noise-cancelling, so it definitely keeps me undisturbed by noises when I sleep. I've had it for almost a year now and I find it's holding up pretty well. No reduction in sound quality, I don't see wear and tear. For its price, it is great. The box came with 2 sets of earphones and a case with a key holder so it's so very convenient. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. I do really wish it came in other colors. Please add more colors!!!

I've tried many 'side sleeping' earbuds; mainly wireless (including the expensive options). None of them were comfortable, they were too big. I had low expectations for these, being wired, but they're tiny - they fit in nicely and are comfortable for side sleeping. The wire isn't an issue really. Sound quality is poor (no lows), but I only use them for noise/fan/rain so it's not a problem. Highly recommended for side sleepers who listen to that kind of thing.

I disliked that they weren’t bluetooth

I have tried alot of wired and wireless sleep earbuds. These are by far the most comfortable sleep earbuds that I have ever tried. I am a side sleeper, and these are small enough that they fit right in my ears, so there's is no pressure when sleeping on my side. I definitely recommend them.
