Harry Potter Female Death Eater Bellatrix Costume

We ordered this costume for my granddaughter to wear Trick or Treating on Halloween. She is a avid Harry Potter fan. We really liked the dress and we paired it with a pair of black dressy type boots. We did not use the mask as her mother is an amazing makeup artist and went full blown on the Bellatrix Make-up. She was not Bellatrix as the Death Eater, but Bellatrix as a wizard. Huge hair and goth type make-up. The costume was our base and without it the look would not have been right. The dress is very well made and the corset is adorable and makes the look. The sleeves are just like her's in the movie. We of course kept the mask and put it away all together. It can definitely be used again.

The lacing was a bit of a pain, as it shipped with the laces all tied to each other. It would have been easier to have just one lace per section instead of two separate ones. The laces also had a hard time staying tied, and we did lose one. Luckily, we had some other laces that worked OK. She got second place at her Halloween party (in the "spooky" category) and was the only Bellatrix at the school, so I count that as a big win! My daughter was very excited about her costume and wore it several times. We had to "hem" it with safety pins, as the medium size was necessary for her long arms but made the skirt REALLY long and a trip hazard. Easily fixed though, and she loves it, so I am sure it will be around awhile for dress-up play. We had to configure it a few different ways for indoor/outdoor and weather conditions, and it had enough room to add layers underneath to keep the costume visible.

The costume was shipped right away and we received it in just a few days. The costume was of very good quality for the affordable price. The only drawback is that the waistband goes up about an 1.5" too high and does not sit comfortably below the bust. It's hard to tell though because I have a rather voluptuous ten year old. It may have been designed for a child with a smaller bust line. Besides that my daughter loved it and had a great time being Bellatrix LeStrange for a day; crazy hair and all!

The fit is not proportionate. The shoulder sleeves that have to be laced together were bulky in the shoulder area. My daughter is a thinly built 11 year old.

Mask was broken when we got it... Used the dress... Lots of ties and strings... Too much work for a child's costume! Wouldn't buy this again

Bellatrix costume has just enough of the original to be fun: "leather" cummerbund, crushed velvety fabric & lace-up open sections. They even include the death-eater mask, but she'd rather wear fun bellatrix make-up and I don't blame her...the mask is slightly pretty up-close, but also a little creepy. I do wish that a Bellatrix wand was included - now we'll just have to make one!

Like all costumes these days, it's was pretty much falling apart out of the package.

Great Price - quick shipping. The laces are a little tough to get in the first time but you only have to do the arms once. It was the closest reasonable priced costume I could find that looked like the real Bellatrix which was my daughter's request. She was thrilled. I would def order again.
