Worked great!
I’ve only used it once to crimp some seat belt cables, but it was simple m, quick, and easy and held strong. I’ll be using it again soon on a car wiring project.

Mine arrived broken, needed some repairs.
Mine arrived broken, which was annoying because I'd already waited a couple of weeks for it in December. I wanted to crimp some cables, and if I'd sent it back I'd probably not have got another one until Feb.The problem was that pumping the pump did nothing at all - It seemed like the pump wasn't working, or there was no fluid in there. I did get it working in the end... If you search YouTube for YQK-70 FAULTY FIX there's a grainy video in Chinese that shows you how to pull it apart, and to remove the spring and 2 ball-bearings from the valves, clean them a bit, and put them back together. Just make a note of the order the 2 bearings and the spring come out, and put them back in the same way and everything will be good. After all of this, and adding some new fluid, it works now.It was annoying having to do this! I bought this as a working tool and it wasn't a working tool; it was a broken tool that needed some repairs that most people won't want to do.Anyway! My annoyance is hopefully somebody else's gain - If you do get one that's not pumping properly and you don't want to send this back (or are out of time) then I hope this is helpful to you!

Works great if you take your time to make sure you're using the right die size
This crimper works great! The AWG sizes give you a good starting point - but since every connector manufacturer can have the outer dimensions of their connectors be different, might need to go to a different size. I found that taking it extra slow and watching closely when you try the first connector of a given type helps -- if it starts winging out before the crimper is closed, might need to go larger, and if it's not getting each side about equal, go smaller. I found it also helped to crimp tightly along the length of the connector, rotate the connector by one crimp face, and then recrimp a little less tightly along that face to help clear up any small wings that are forming. The Anderson connector to the left on my attached photo was crimped a total of six times.Takes some time -- but as long as you're not doing mass production you should be fine! I've done around 12 crimps with 2/0 conductors and 4 crimps with 1/0 conductors so far. I don't think I'd be likely to use this for anything 10 gauge or smaller, as I have a handheld crimping tool that is much faster for those (as it's easy to crimp those sizes with a single squeeze - don't need the hydraulics help.) Very happy with the purchase for larger connectors!

Disappointed. Not the tool I was expecting.
I made the mistake of ordering from wrong seller. It isn't the same tool-line as the smaller tool I recently purchased (#10 to #1/0), which I'm really impressed with, and it tempted me to order this larger model as well. However, this one appears to be of overall lower quality.I first noticed something was off just looking at the cardboard box it shipped in, vs. the sturdier box the smaller tool was shipped in. The flimsy top and bottom were bulging, looking as though it could hardly contain the contents. Once opened, the disappointment continued. The one-piece blown black plastic case lacks the large rugged teal-colored clasps of the two-piece case, and is very poorly balanced for carrying. The case also lacks space for one set of dies; the tool comes with dies for #6 installed, and #4 dies are bouncing around inside the case. The other dies are securely stowed. The one-piece case has a weak living hinge, which are infamous for not being durable and breaking, where the better two-piece case has a heavy-duty pinned hinge.Though in retrospect it does match the description and photos provided by the seller, this tool is not what I was expecting. My mistake.

Great inexpensive option if you can accept less than perfect crimps
Hydraulics work perfectly. Get's extremely tight with minimal effort. The dies do leave wings on the lugs and I found myself having to size down frequently with my lugs. Not sure if it was the lugs I ordered or the dies. Used 8 AWG for 6-1/4 and 6 AWG for 4-1/4.To easily remove any wings, I found twisting the lug 45 degrees and crimping again pushed the wings into the body. Still not completely perfect but good enough for me.
