Mid-Size Ironman Sleek 50 Silicone Strap Watch

I’ve had a version of this watch for running for 30 years. Sadly, I developed a latex allergy and am allergic to the black band. However, the silicone band is great with no skin reaction. I use it for work and workouts. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is they the buttons on top are loose and often get accidentally engaged which is annoying but not a breaker.

The watch shown in the attached photo was my last Ironman watch. It was a fantastic watch for the price, and I swam miles with it and sweated buckets on it. Unfortunately, it finally died on me and when I looked for an identical watch on Amazon with which to replace it, I could only find one or two left and they were at greatly inflated prices. I guess Timex is no longer making this particular model. So, in its place I purchased the "Timex Mid-Size Ironman Sleek 50 Silicone Strap Watch" here, which was the closest thing to it I could find. The band feels a little more like rubber instead of hard plastic and it's hot pink whereas my previous watch was more of a berry color, but it has the same functions I used with the other watch (stop watch, interval timer, alarm, background light) and is working well so far. For the money, this is a great little watch.

Perfect size for my small framed Wrists. The silicone strap is very very soft, flexible and fragile. I can’t imagine it will last a long time. The silicone strap is very soft and I can see it coming undone with time. It looks like it will break off soon. The hardware of the watches components are long lasting and sleek. Nice loud alarm. Great display. I will not swim with it because the last hole/Round in the strap is loosening up and it will be easy to loose this watch off your hand.

It’s a functional watch in an attractive color. I’m sure it’s made well.I hated how thick the timepiece is. It was much higher above my wrist than any other watch I have owned.It kept getting smacked in to things as I miscalculated the amount of space it required.It never felt natural and unobtrusive. After several weeks of trying to get used to it, I bought a different watch.

This was a gift for our granddaughter's eleventh birthday. She loved it! The color, the light weight design, the features, the ease with which all the settings could be made, the fact that it was waterproof, all made this watch one of the best gifts that she received. I wanted a basic stopwatch to run with during the off season to take a break from GPS tracking, and I paid a little extra for this one because of the interval feature and the ability to save past workouts. The watch is simple to use (though does require a little time at first with the online instruction manual if you haven't used a timex ironman before) and really comfortable to wear - it's perfect for someone with a small wrist. I used to have one a long time ago with the resin straps, and the updated version with the silicone band is incredibly comfortable (and hopefully less prone to breaking). The band keeper at the end can pop out from time to time, but it hasn't really been an issue for me. The only problem I have is that the buttons are a bit sticky on mine, unfortunately.

I am not sure this was even a real Timex Ironman watch. I have owned 4 or 5 Timex Ironman watches over the years and I typically only have to replace them if I lose it or if the band breaks (because the bands are not replaceable...flaw). This watch, however, has not lasted 6 months. It is also the first Timex I have received with a big “Made in Philippines” sticker on it. Coincidence?Today I wore this watch in my hotel’s pool...literally just standing in the pool. It fogged up and over the course of a day in and out of the pool it died. “Water resistant to 100m”? I know that is a very loose statement but I HAVE worn all my previous Timex watches SCUBA diving to depths up to 100 feet and never had an issue of them malfunctioning.Very disappointed in either this model or whomever is selling it and claiming that it is an actual Timex watch.

This is a great watch and I've had multiple over the years. After a few years of constant wearing, the band will eventually become less flexible and break. Until then, this is a comfortable, die hard beast! The timer, stopwatch, and internal timer are great. I use them all the time for my workouts. Gotta love the Timex Ironman series.

I really like this watch, it is light, soft, comfortable and adjusts small enough to fits my wrist. My beef with it is the watch strap holder constantly comes off leaving the long tail end of the strap to catch on things. Every single day, multiple times a day this happens. I will even wake up in the middle of the night because it has come off and the strap in being bent back by my blankets. I really really like this watch but the strap drives me crazy. I'm considering alternatives to keep the strap down.

Acabo de recibirlo y no puedo opinar sobre su funcionamiento, funciones y resistencia pero al verlo me he sorprendido desagradablemente: reloj pequeñisimo. Parece que está pensado para niños pequeños.La descripción no lo indica. La pantalla, en correspondencia con el reloj, tambien pequeña. La correa de silicona muy finita. El precio de este reloj me parece caro para lo que es.

I wore an older version of this watch with a black strap for years. It withstood the most incredible abuse and kept on ticking.This one, sadly, does not live up to its predecessor: less than a week's wearing, and already the face is scratched, and the paint on the lettering is coming off the buttons.Too bad. I hate it when a good piece of equipment is cheapened to the point where it no longer works. I would have worn these watches the rest of my life.

This band was not as rigid/sturdy as previous Ironman Triathlon watches I have had. I love the look, the white is elegant for a sports watch. However I am not sure how long the band will last. The small ring to hold down the extra band frequently moves off of its spot, so there is a long bit of band flapping around.

à recommander elle fonctionne à merveille les chiffes sont faciles à lire, mais la petite attache qui tient le bout du bracelet fermé, bouge tout seul. et il faut la replacer souvent, mais autrement la montre je l'adore, j'adore la couleur qui va avec tout.
