Good story
This is a good story, I had trouble with it being Darcy and Elizabeth. I just do not see them giving into passion like that. And the circumstances were questionable to me. Had this just been a story with characters unknown to me I would have given it a higher rating

Part of being a parent is rolling with the punches
Part of being a parent is rolling with the punches, so consider an unexpected pregnancy the universe's way of helping you to learn to do that. ~ Heather WittenbergPersonal story: My older brother was born 9 months and 11 days after my parents’ wedding. In 1945, my Mother was reviled by everyone from her doctor (the doctor my Grandfather insisted his daughter visit) to a sister-in-law who said “I just hope G— waits another 2 weeks and doesn’t disgrace us all.” She made no criticism of her brother who would have been just as guilty as his wife, if in fact, they had been guilty. My point in sharing this family history is that my Mother was frightened to death that her daughters would have a “7-month” baby. She was afraid every time we went on a date.So I can understand Mr. Bennet’s reaction to the news that his unmarried daughter was with child in 1812. An early pregnancy was still a major family issue in 1945.Love and pregnancy and riding on a camel cannot be hid. ~ Arabic Proverb“Mr. Darcy’s Secret Baby” begins at a familiar jumping-off point: immediately after the disastrous proposal at Hunsford. We learn the sequence of events that led to a quick coupling after the rejection late in the story. At first all we know is that Elizabeth is no longer a virgin. The story is short and well-written. It seems a bit improbable (I have trouble believing Elizabeth would have lost control of herself quite so easily) but it could happen.Whether your pregnancy was meticulously planned, medically coaxed, or happened by surprise, one thing is certain — your life will never be the same. ~ Catherine Jones

Sweet and mild
I wish the story had been a bit longer but not sure how the author could have stretched it and retained the sweet storyline.

What-if Lizzy was pregnant
The story is shortish and it’s pretty much it effects Lizzy, the father and Mr. Bennet. So it’s all about whether to marry and can Lizzy bring herself to marry the father and will he agree to marry her.Not much depth beyond the above. What will this mean for the rest of the family? What lesson will the younger sisters learn when there is very little impact on Lizzy, especially since she was her father’s favorite. I can’t see any good coming for Lydia. What about Lady Cat, Mr. Collins and Wickham? Wickham can make sure London NEVER forgets the scandal. Lady C and Mr. C will NEVER be quiet about the child. So there is a HEA but it was more of a fairytale than a realistic story.

Love Finds A Way
I really enjoyed this book! It deals with the consequences of a barely discussed coupling between Elizabeth and Darcy while at Rosings. I like that the author was not explicit in her references to ODC having sex before and after marriage as some authors go overboard and the story becomes smutty but that was not the case here. I loved how Elizabeth came to realize that she loved Darcy and that he never wavered in his love of her. Ultimately, this book shows that our actions have consequences but that forgiveness and love are possible. I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.

secret shared
love-child ??? Darcy's abominable Hunsford proposal and Elizabeth's scathing refusal could only result in one thing - you guessed it !!! a kiss, well, maybe a little minute or so more than a kiss. another awful proposal, another less awful refusal. Darcy's proffered letter of explanation. the two part, unsure of what the future would tender them. Darcy cannot forget her. Elizabeth knows she misjudged him. both are subjected to their separation in guilt and repentance. their true feelings would be sorted out, over the anvil and then in the Scottish wilds. love pronounced, courage rising, both confront the family they knew would not judge harshly, but would judge nonetheless. this is a story so sweet and tender in the knowledge that ODC+1 = a truly HEA.

An interesting approach
I enjoyed this variation but I think it's out of character for both, Darcy and Elizabeth. An entertaining read anyway.

I have to take a point off for verb tenses and typos
The actual storyline deserves close to 4 stars, but between the modernisms, the many typos, and the incorrect use of simple past tense throughout (without using past perfect to delineate events that were further in the past), a lot of scenes were harder to read than they should have been. I eventually got frustrated with those errors and had to take a break before finishing the book. I'd like to see this author brush up heavily on verb tenses and get a good editor. I feel she has talent, but it's being hidden under layers of preventable mistakes. On the other hand, if those things don't bother you, this is an enjoyable enough read.

An OK read
This is an OK read, ideal for a lazy afternoon. No angst. Darcy is very much in love, as he should be. Elizabeth is not very reasonable and then changes her mind too rapidly. Not very consistent or believable. The first half is better than the last. The author struggles to keep the reader's interest after the reunion of ODC. Do not expect too much, but you should find this read enjoyable.

A solid read
A 3.5* rating. This is a well constructed novella without a huge cast list to cloud the issue but it did not grab me. I felt that a bit too much of the story was spent inside the heads of the chief characters but without moving the story forward as well as it might.Nonetheless it is a worthy story.

Surprisingly enjoyable
I didn't think I'd enjoy a book where our beloved couple give into their passions out of wedlock, but this was well written and gave the reader just enough angst and hope. Happy to see a quick understanding of one another and always appreciate a book that allows Georgiana's to display her maturity.

Interesting take, but suspended reality is too much
I am a fan of earlier works. This was good but parts of it are too hard to believe, biologically. Those must be some sneaky and tough spermatozoa?a few weeks hiding somewhere, then coursesstill come and she still becomes encient. Huh?I don't think that was really necessary for the plot to progress! Also, all the yelling and screaming at Rosings did not wake anyone up? The servants the old dragon, Richard, Anne.Anyway, Elizabeth must secretly love Darcy even if he behaves like a proud fool.I mean, they lost all sense. In order to make babies that are the product of die hard seeds. The rest is very sweet. I just could not overcome some of the plot holes.Still a good read.

Sweet Story
An enjoyable variation with less angst than I expected. I would have liked more description of their encounter at Rosing so as to understand how it came about. It was quite out of character for both characters and needed more explanation. Otherwise a pleasant tale.
