Great base to start
These plates are affordable and great to use as a base plate to contruct amazing duplo creations. It really gets the creative juices runnjng in my little ones. Its bugger than I thought, but bigger is always better. Is one pice and really easy to set up

Essential product for Duplo!
We needed a board for my toddlers Duplo so he can create bigger projects! This is an absolute must have and completes the collection! He is able to make castles and gardens and all sorts of things! Very sturdy and so far has withstood some heavy hands! Great product!

Fantastic addition to Lego Duplo bricks
Provides a base for all the Duplo bits and pieces we had. The grandkids, once they realised its purpose, just loved building extensively all over it. Wish we had got it a year ago, but then again, it provides a fresh stimulus for using an excellent product. Expensive for what it is, but a great addition.

Great base plate for Duplo
On special great value. The grandchildren love these larger base plates, they build villages, towns, castles gardens etc. It is a good item to have for creativity.

A bit expensive
Base for duplo and doesnt come as stsndard with any duplo sets. A bit expensive for what it was. However a none branded version didn't hold the bricks as good. This made this base even more expensive as the none branded version ended up in the bin.

Great size and perfect fit for DUPLO, but expensive for a single base plate
I bought this DUPLO base plate for my toddler son, and overall I’m happy with the purchase. The size is excellent at 38cm x 38cm, giving plenty of space for building and imaginative play without taking up too much room. It fits DUPLO bricks perfectly and provides a stable surface for creating larger builds. My son enjoys using it as the foundation for his farms, animals, and little scenes, and it definitely encourages more creative building and independent play. One thing that surprised me is how thin the base plate is. It’s noticeably thinner than the moulded bases that come with some DUPLO sets. That isn’t a problem in use—it still works exactly as it should—but it feels lighter than I expected for the price. My biggest criticism is the cost. At over £32 for a single base plate, I do think it is quite expensive for what is essentially just a building surface. I mainly chose it because it is an official LEGO product and I knew it would be fully compatible with our existing DUPLO collection. That said, the quality is good, the fit is perfect, and the large size makes it very useful for everyday play. Overall, it’s a great addition to a DUPLO collection, but I would have given it 5 stars if the price were more reasonable. Color selection: Standard green base plate, ideal for creating outdoor scenes and landscapes. Compatibility: Perfect fit with DUPLO bricks and accessories, with a secure connection.

Perfect size
Perfect sized base for my Granddaughter to build her Duplo on. Its a shame this size is retired/discontinued. The other base boards are too small

Essentielle Ergänzung für jedes DUPLO-Set!
Wir haben uns die LEGO 10980 DUPLO Bauplatte in Grün gekauft, weil wir nach einer größeren Grundlage für die vielen DUPLO-Steine in unserem Starterset gesucht haben. Besonders für unseren kreativen Baumeister und seinen Vater war es schwierig, komplexe Strukturen direkt auf dem Boden zu bauen, und die mitgelieferten Platten waren einfach viel zu klein, um größere Kreationen zu ermöglichen. Verarbeitung und Qualität: Die Bauplatte ist sehr gut verarbeitet und macht einen robusten Eindruck. Sie ist stabil und hat in unserem Haushalt bereits eine längere Zeit problemlos überlebt. Die Steine lassen sich problemlos darauf befestigen und auch wieder lösen, ohne dass die Platte oder die Steine Schaden nehmen. Sie bietet eine gute Basis für verschiedene Bauvorhaben. Spielspaß und Funktionalität: Diese Bauplatte ist ideal, um Landschaften, Städte, Türme, Burgen und viele andere kreative Konstruktionen zu bauen. Ohne eine solche Basisplatte wäre es viel schwieriger, große und stabile Strukturen zu schaffen, und der Spielspaß würde meiner Meinung nach deutlich eingeschränkt. Die Größe der Platte ist für unsere Bedürfnisse ausreichend, allerdings wären noch größere Platten ein tolles Zusatzangebot – aber durch die Möglichkeit, mehrere Platten miteinander zu verbinden, lässt sich die Spielfläche leicht vergrößern. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: Die Platte ist sicherlich ein solides, gut verarbeitetes Stück Plastik, aber ich finde den Preis im Vergleich zu anderen LEGO-Produkten etwas hoch. Dennoch, die Qualität und der Spielspaß, den sie bietet, machen den Preis für uns letztlich gerechtfertigt. Für die Flexibilität und Erweiterbarkeit, die sie bietet, lohnt sich die Investition. Wir haben mittlerweile insgesamt vier Platten und verbinden sie bei Bedarf, um eine noch größere Baufläche zu erhalten. Fazit: Ich würde diese Bauplatte definitiv immer wieder kaufen und sie ist eine klare Empfehlung für alle DUPLO-Fans, die größere Projekte starten möchten. Meiner Meinung nach sollte eine solche Platte standardmäßig in einem DUPLO-Steine-Set enthalten sein, da sie das Bauen erheblich vereinfacht und den Spielspaß verlängert. Ein Stern Abzug gibt es wegen des hohen Preises, aber insgesamt eine tolle Ergänzung zu jedem DUPLO-Set.
