RoosebeckEmma Mountain Dulcimer 4-String Vaulted Fretboard Spruce Knotwork

I'm very happy with the quality of this instrument. I've never purchased an acoustic instrument without testing it out in the shop first, so I was nervous about ordering online, but I have been so pleased with this whole experience. The sound quality is great, all the hardware is much higher quality than I had expected, and the wood is beautiful. For this price, you're unlikely to find a better bang for your buck. I'm just beginning with dulcimer after playing guitar and uke for 20+ years, and this seems like a perfect starter instrument to learn on and get comfortable with playing. I already broke a string while trying to get to alternative Joni Mitchell tuning, and replacing the string with something a local retailer was easy and seamless, took less than 10 minutes, and I was back to playing right away.

Very Nice Dulcimer ... especially for the price :-) . Arrived well packed and much nicer construction quality than I was expecting. Set-up well and quite playable right out of the box. You would be hard pressed to find a better double bout, arched fretboard dulcimer anywhere. Recommended.

Wouldn't stay in tune. Had to take it to get it restrung. Where is the quality control?

My Park Ranger granddaughter loves it! (It was a gift)
