Lightweight Sun Shield
This is a great lightweight umbrella to shield me from the sun. It collapses like a normal, full size umbrella but into a much thinner profile. It is easy to get back into it’s case and the carry strap is useful. In Florida, I use it when sitting out at the pool to guarantee I have shade even if all the tables with umbrellas are taken. At my cabin up North I use it when sitting on the dock enjoying nature. It would also be perfect to take to an outdoor concert. I do not know how it would function in rain, but that is not it’s purpose. I have 2 of these and I recommend them.

A must for this heatwave~
Perfectly light and balanced umbrella. I have not used it in heavy wind but the build quality seems up to the task. Really helps in the heat. I also plan to use it during hikes. This is far superior build quality to the light trek ultra but for those looking for a design that folds down to below 10 inch, the ultra is probably the best option available.

best piece of gear
If you are hiking in warm weather without tree cover once you try this once you will never go back. It is a great luxury item for backpacking. I am tempted to not even call it a luxury item and start calling it essential. On a 8 hour hike in 90 F heat I bet I save about 30% of my water from not sweating it all out.

Made in China :(
I paid extra to get a European-built product, but it made in China by a German company. Very disappointed about that.

Super Light & Functional
I asked for and received this umbrella as a Christmas gift and intend to use it while hiking. It's large enough to cover my head & shoulders and my Osprey Exos 58 backpack. I like that it will provide both sun and rain protection. I'm using it with the straps that attach to my backpack shoulder straps and I find this umbrella very light and comfortable.

Crazy lightweight for being so strong and wind resistant-
It weighs almost nothing- I like the construction and it seems the silver on the outside will not rub off - exactly as described- comes with a bag that has a strap you can put over your shoulder- Both ends (handle and tip) are covered in durable soft foam so no poking eyes out- you would lose in a lightsaber fight though!

Excellence!
This is the best umbrella for shade. It is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and easy to operate. I value excellence and this is an excellent product.

Love it so much I got a second
Love this umbrella for rain or shine! Keeps me so much cooler in the hot sun and keeps me dry in the rain, the carrying case makes it easy to carry around as well. It’s not super compact if that’s what you’re wanting

Light weight
The umbrella is light weight and strong. Great to have on the trail as well as around camp. As expected it does not handle wind but stores easily on backpack. On a recent summer backpack trip had steady rain (without wind) and was quite comfort with umbrella and short sleeve base layer. The folks without umbrellas had to have their full rain suits on and complained about overheating. Will always take umbrella if rain is in the forecast.

Great sunscreen for an infant and the parent
Great umbrella. Sturdy, but super light and just the right size for a person with a baby in a carrier - we used it as a sunscreen for an infant. As well as a regular anti-rain defense. Highly recommended.

Used On The Camino De Santiago
Wouldn’t have made it through the hot sun without it! Lightweight and clipped to my backpack during my Camino.
