Bought these for my cat’s tower for peace of mind that it won’t flatten them while I’m at work. They are sturdy and offer plenty of adjustment.

I bought these and installed them at my daughter's house. She has 3 kids under the age of 4. There was a near miss with a bureau. I put a cable on the center of each bureau and on a tall bookcase. They were relatively easy to install and adjust the length of the cable, I recommend attaching to studs in the wall, If not, use a very strong molly. There are some 200 lb. rated fasteners available at home centers.

Absolutely horrendous to install. The drywall anchors are not good quality and bend even with proper pilot holes drilled. I'm pretty handy, but this was ridiculous even for me. My wall is quite torn up behind the shelf this now secures. I'll have a lot of patching to do if/when we move that bookshelf. It does seem to do well holding the weight of the shelf and preventing tipping. That being said, I wouldn't purchase again, I'd go for something that appears to be higher quality.

We have open shelving in our apartment and while our boys (5 and 3) have never scaled anything yet, one can never be too careful. Make sure to use drywall screws (we bought heavier duty than what it came with) if you’re not screwing directly into a stud.

Purchased this product to secure a 70-80lb book shelf to a wall. Upon arrival I inspected all components to ensure proper function and durability since this product is intended to keep a large bookshelf from potentially falling on my two year old. First thing I did was lightly pull on each side of the mounting brackets and the cable instantly broke away from the mount. I reinserted the cable and tried again with the same affect. The included hardware is less than sufficient. Screws are slim and are all bent to some degree.... Bottom line is to pass on this one.

I have a six foot heavy cabinet that because of the baseboard heater, I have to keep eight inches from the wall. This is strong, and much better, then the nylon straps.

Still holding the dresser well enough that I cannot get that sock...years later.
