As a Certified Arborist and professional Tree Service owner I can say this small pole pruner is one of the most effective, best made and best designed pruning tools that I have ever purchased ......... made of quality material .....totally adjustable and effective for both pruning and harvesting fruit and seed pods ...... The diameter of cuts that recommend is about 1/4" on Hardwoods but on soft plants like Plumeria or Bird of Paradise I can easily cut 3/4" pieces ......Also you must re-adjust or rotate the pole to engage the cutting blades when you lengthen or shorten the reach of this fine tool ..........Again as a professional I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the "GARTOL Pruner" and I would recommend this tool to both professional Arborists like myself as well as beginners learning to prune.......from J.S. c’est très pratique cet sécateur extensible surtout quand on peut contrôler les branches coupées sur le bout de sécateur, ça tient parfaitement bien les petits à grosses branche une fois coupé. Assez léger et très solide pour un bon 30 minutes de travail mais, il ne coupe pas les grosses branches. J’ai fait très attention et lâché la coupe dès que le sécateur a refusé de couper si non ciseaux va briser car c’est quand même un petit sécateur semi professionnelle Brefs , c’est un bon outil pratique et essentiel à l’avoir pour les travaux de jardinages

I needed to trim small branch shoots from young trees and this sounded very good for that. It extends easily and I didn’t have to bend down to pick up what I cut. My wife planted many carpet roses and they need to be dead headed to keep blooming throughout the summer. I showed her how to use this trimmer and she has been using it and doesn’t have to bend over. This has been one of those tools that has surpassed my expectations because it works so well.

Product finally arrived 5 days late, used, and a spring damaged on the cutting head. Not really impressed. UPDATE The seller replaced the damaged pruner and it arrived within two days of shipping. It works extremely well for my roses and rogue blackberry vines as has cut and hold. Good product.
