Excellent and thorough coverage of issues facing the W126. It would be awesome to have this level of detail for other Mercedes models such as the 123 and 107.

There was so little information in book form on this car when I first became interested in the SEC's. I did all of my research online, but that is not good for the eyes. I craved something in book form and here it is. I will say two things. 1. I wish I had this two years ago! It would have helped me greatly. 2. Even now, after two years of research, this book is beyond helpful. It is jam packed with information that I can use. Each page gives me something I was not aware of. Today everything seems expensive. That is what happens with the "free" internet but some things are worth paying for and the information in this book is just that. Well worth the money.

I usually don’t post reviews, but I felt that I have to leave a review for this book! The author of this book is very knowledgeable about w126 and he explains this car from A to Z. If you own a w126 sedan or coupe, you definitely need to have this book. It gives you information about stuff that you were never aware of such as rust points, electrical and vacuum connections, interior and exterior parts, fluids, and etc.... very good book and the quality of the print and papers is very high.

This is a really fantastic book. Everything was very well researched and explained, and there were plenty of details and pictures throughout the book. The W126 is an incredible piece of engineering, and this book shows you how nearly everything can literally be taken apart to the last nut-and-bolt, cleaned or rebuilt, and put back together. This book does a really good job of showing you how to find, buy, and maintain one.

This is the best automotive book on a specific model that I have ever come across. As am owner of a 1989 560SEC it is an invaluable reference on virtually every topic related to caring for my car. I have also found it to be useful in thinking through issues on my W123!

Absolutely a must have if you own a w126 or planning on purchasing one. Tons of useful information with an emphasis on useful. The author explains things in a way that is understandable. It is obvious that a tremendous amount of research has been done. A must have for an enthusiast written by an enthusiast.

Je viens d'acheter le livre, étant possesseur d'une 560SEL de 1989. Ce livre est en anglais, c'est très bien fait et cela vous aidera beaucoup pour faire vos entretiens facilement même si vous connaissez bien les W126. Il y a plein de trucs et techniques qui vous permettront de gagner du temps et de ne pas faire de bêtise en intervenant sur votre voiture.Les photos sont en couleur, et de qualité, les conseils bien vus. C'est un ouvrage de passionné pour passionnés, allez-y les yeux fermés.

Wenn auch "nur" in Englisch, empfinde ich es als das bislang beste Buch, was zum W126 erschienen ist. Da ich gerade einen seit fast 14 Jahren stillgelegten 560SEC aus dem Dornröschenschlaf wecke, finde ich das Buch in Kombination mit der originalen MB Information für Klassiker, Service und Teile DVD ( die es wohl immernoch nicht für aktuelles Windows gibt? WIN 7 geht als letzte Version) als perfekte Do it yourself Unterstützung. Spart einem viel Schreiberei/Sucherei im - ehemals- gelben W126 Forum, selbst wenn dieses nach wie vor unersetzlich ist. Das Buch deckt interessante Statistiken, Kaufberatung, und sehr viel Wartungsaspekte gut ab. Happy!

What can I say except "WOW". I bought this book not really knowing what to expect but as soon as I started leafing through the pages I knew I'd got probably the most valuable resource for my newly acquired Mercedes C126! This book has all the issues that these cars experience documented in great detail with good photos and brilliant advice on how to fix things - who knew for example, the exact number of the paint I need to make the dashboard needles the correct colour again! I seriously can't recommend this book enough for anyone who owns or is thinking of buying a W126/C126! I may even order a second copy so I can have one in the car and one in the house!
