These boots are fine for short general use such as walking the dog. Somehow, my feet always seem to be pushed to the front, jamming my feet into the toe box and making heel rub a real issue. For anything more strenuous, I still go back to my old Salomon X Ultra 3 Mid GTXs. The Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GTXs are also a definite step backwards from the 3s, in my opinion. I soooo wish they'd make the 3s again.

Second pair au have bought… sturdy and comfortable with flexible sole ideal for walking or running suit.

As you can see from the picture included, I ended up submerged up to my thighs in shreks swamp, first time I wore these boots and I gave them that kind of a introduction to the world haha! Anyway back to the point…. My feet stayed completely dry aside from the obvious around the ankles where it was able to absorb a little into the fabric and top of the tongue on the inside. I had took the boots straight off and washed up in a stream & put on fresh socks. The “clean” picture included is a short while after I washed up and dried out. Comfy boots too. Definitely recommend… don’t think, just buy!

Having small feet (36), I often struggle to find walking shoes that fit me but these are made in a size 36 and are so comfortable. They are also a good price. I even ordered a pair of men’s in the same style but bigger size for my husband and he loves them too.

These boots are appalling and do not do the job they're meant for! Don't buy! I'm walk a lot with my dog and have gone through quite a few boots doing so and these are by far the worst I've ever used. They're not worth the money as they let water through worse than my canvas trainers, they're not as comfortable as they should be and are tight plus they make your feet sweat. Don't waste your money

I had an older pair of Salomon contagrip boots that's I wore for years. Just like them, these were instantly comfortable. Great boots for all weather.

This shoe is like a high top running shoe but with better sole. The heel is square, not rounded, so descending dirt, scree or soft snow is secure. I have rock climbed with them up to Yosemite Grade 5.6 although not technically a rock shoe. This is my third pair and they last a good season as I am hiking or climbing about 5 days per week as a professional. The waterproofing allows feet to stay dry when walking through wet/dewy grass. They are also good for running on mountain trails and off-trail terrain. The nylon web lace guides do wear through but the shoes are pretty much used up at that point.
