which is a great thing. As far as how well it files
This is exactly what I needed. I tried using clippers for my dog but she gets too scared. This also scares her but not as much. It's really quiet. I almost thought it wasn't working at first because it barely makes any sound, which is a great thing. As far as how well it files, I have no complaints. It took a while to file my dog's nails down but I've never used a file on her before, so I don't know if that's typical or not.

Great for my dog, cats not as much
I got this to help me groom my pets' nails. It works really well on my puppy. I was afraid of using the guillotine style clipper that I use for my cats because his nails were much darker and it is much more difficult to see the quick. I tried it on one of my cats but the normal claw clippers work much better and are faster. So all in all, this was awesome for my puppy but just okay for my cats.

Good product, but good luck
Works as described, but my four month old puppy will have nothing to do with it. Not the noise - it apparently tickles. Hopefully he will get used to it when he's a little older and more settled. Instructions could have been a little more clear.

I have tried one before and my dog hated the noise. This one is quiet and quick. Doesnt scare my dog and get my dogs nails smooth. I have an Australian shepherd mix and it works great on his nails. Very happy! Great price and great product!

Lower power for smaller dogs.
Worked well for few weeks when she was a pup but as nails became stronger not strong enough for her. Work fine but would recommend for smaller dogs.

Better than clippers
Strong enough to get my dogs tough nails down! Battery lasts about an hour. It's much better than clippers.
