Incredible SDR radio! Cannot believe how much these keep improving!
this latest nesdr smart xtr sdr radio is incredible! thought that it could not get better than my last nesdr smart, WOW, was i wrong! very signal stable and has really opened up what i can receive just by changing the sdr radio, and not moving the antenna! not to say that the nesdr smart is lacking in any sense, but the difference is incredible! then hook it to a Nooelec Ham It Up! upconverter & the entire world of radio awaits! if your worried that these won't work due to high rf noise in your area, stop right now and order one! i have my antenna's with many, many wifi routers, electric, phone and cable wires not 20 ft from where these radios antennas sit and i receive everything i've wanted & more(not to mention alot more than any uniden scanner i've used!). these nesdr smart xtr w/e4000 tuners are just with out a doubt the best radio enthusiast sdr radio made, bar none, for whatever you may use them for!!!

Works Great
Paired this with a USB OTG cable and used it with an Android tablet as a broadband receiver. It worked great and was easy to setup. The USB sdr is tiny and can easily be fit into a small pouch. Standard connection is sma-female. The factory antenna base is a solid connection type and is not sma-f also. This isn't a problem, just a point of reference. Device worked great even with a free sdr app on an old Android tablet. Could easy receive into the HF portion of US amateur bands.

Good RTL-SDR
Great rtl-sdr, take note that this is more expensive just because it is based on the E4000 chip which is no longer in production. My only complaint is that the case is not snug around the USB port and since it is not super light it has bent the USB port multiple times just from its own weight :(

Outdated? Not Supported?
Admittedly I am new to SDR's, but after working with the product it appears this is either an older product or it's no longer supported. The "latest" DLL's linked in the download/support appear to be from 2014. Maybe newer products are friendlier or better supported. Avoid this one.

Great Gadget
I just received this on 10/19/17, just got to setup the device. The installation instructions were absolutely perfect, everything worked on windows 10 as directed. Clarity 10/10 Ease of Use 10/10 I'm new to SDR and I recommend this product based on my experience.

Compact and sturdy sdr
The SDR is very nice and compact, so you can accommodate multiple ones of these on a single USB hub. Tech support is responsive and very helpful if you have any technical questions. The antennas are good enough for listening, but a dipole antenna would work better.

Not an out of the box solution for the beginner
Ok, I have updated from 1 star to 3 stars. The reason is that the problem is not the hardware, it is getting software to work for the beginner. That will take you hours and hours and even then you will have to Youtube it and most of what is on there is mediocre at best. But if you stick with it, eventually you will get 'some' output. But the amount of effort required is a severe limiter. I wouldn't buy one again and would opt for a company that has a product that is matched with software that IS SUPPORTED for both software and hardware. These things should be at a high level able to plug in, install software and by default give the user immediate results (like pre tuned to some sources) as to provide a positive feedback to the user and encourage them to develop and gain experience, so that can explore, learn and want to take the field of interest further. This device does not do that. If you want people to buy and keep your product you better do a good job of making the documentation so that they can see / hear positive results right away. After an hour I instill am not hearing anything but noise / static. I'll give it 2 days to play with it and if no luck it goes back.

Excellent SDR device
I used the NESDR Smart XTR with with GUI clients in windows 10 and CLI clients in Cygwin, a Linux emulation in windows, and with the correct drivers the product worked very well.
