What type of leg are these? Skinny, boot cut, etc.?

The legs are a straight cut but have zippers on the outside from ankle to thigh to open the legs completely as needed.

im 5' 4" 36x30 pants what size to fit over cloths?

I am 5'8" and I wear ex lg but I don't know about the length for you.I would call Carhartt and ask them.

I’m 5’7 and 175lbs what size should I get to wear pants and hoodie underneath?

Know I bought 2X for husband. Plenty of room to wear jeans & hoodie. He’s 100# heavier than you & 5’ 11”. You may want to check for shorter length as these were 2-3” long on him.

What is the difference between large short and large/short?

There will not be a difference in these.

Check the length of it

Good product, arrive on time, very durable, this thing will keep you warm, the only thing I didn't like is that it's a little to long, I wear a size 30 long and this is more like a 32. Othere than that I definitely recommend this, I know I'm going to need one later on and I know exactly where I'm going
