I received these as gifts and didn’t know what to do with them so I used them to add some frames & candles. Also, the books themselves are so much fun to read through and it definitely takes you back in time. I can’t believe some of the ads we used to have!

This coffee table book is really cool. Lots of 80s nostalgia and will definitely be a great addition to any bookshelf.

I almost never write reviews, but I had to when I saw this had no reviews in english I am so glad Taschen decided to put this series back into print. No other ad compilation book comes close to the "All American Ads" series. in my eyes. Around a thousand ads on every topic, from electronics to movie posters to tobacco. Most of the ads are printed one to a page as they initially were, so no detail is lost. You even get some two-page spreads! These are printed in great quality on large, thick paper, better than the magazine pages they were initially on! Because these were out of print for a while they were getting quite expensive, but at the current price, I can't recommend them enough. Whether you're in the advertising field, lived in the period, and want to revisit the ads, are interested in the period, or just want a fascinating book to spend hours looking through, you can't go wrong with any of the books in this series!

Tons of killer ads that bring back memories. I must have been too young to pick up on the *cough* innuendos in a lot of the ads. My only complaint is the lowish quality of some of the scans. I am surprised Taschen was not able to source better scans. Seriously, there’s better scans on tumblr for some of them. I have a collection of 1980s Omni magazines and many of the included ads are in those magazines albeit in far better quality. I would have been happy to loan them to Taschen! Alas, I shouldn’t complain. I am just happy they even released such a work.
