So, I read a review on here that said it tasted (I can't recall the reviewer's exact words) I think the reviewer said it tasted earthy, or like dirt... I don't know, it was something like that. Anyway, to me it tastes like beets, which I have always thought tasted like dirt. I never liked the taste of beets, never have. However, I had read that taking beet root extract will increase nitrates in the body and, as the theory goes, will then, possibly, reduce blood pressure. So, I figured what do I have to lose. So I began taking this once a day and after about a week my blood pressure did actually drop. Now whether that was from the beet root extract, or some other factor, I don't know, I'm not a doctor, and I never played one on television either. So, my experience is nothing more than anecdotal evidence, and everybody is different. I know that I am now off of all blood pressure medication and I will continue to take beet root extract once per day, even though I don't like the taste of beets. You can try mixing this stuff with something to try to improve the taste, but it will still taste like beets.
