Q: Where are these made?

I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for but I never checked to see where they were made but I can tell you that they work great, are very comfortable, and are very easy to use. I bought a set for my wife and on a recent hike, she had no problems while I slipped on ice and fell 5 times. I bought another set for myself and used them on our last hike and they worked perfectly.

Q: Will any size of these fit kid size 1 shoe?

there is a size chart in the photos of it to the left. 5-8 are the smallest and I believe that is an adult size since the next size up is 8- 11 and then 11-14. IE if your kid can wear a woman's size 5- buy that one. Nothing specifically child-sized.

Q: I see the sizes lg and xl. My partner is a women's 11. Both sizes say 11. Which would fit better?

I am a size 9.5 in hiking boots (women) and ordered the L and it fits perfectly. I would suggest the XL. :)

Q: Do they work on square toe boots

I don't see why not. It's just the chain part of the ctampon that you're putting around the toe and that could be moved however you want.
