I have embroidery on my boots that I don’t want stained, is this clear?

yes. I would use a cotton swab to test color bleeding on your embroidery, but the oil is clear.

Can I use this on my Occidental Leater bags? Will it change the color much?

My take is that it brought the color of my boots back to their original tone. Years ago I used it on work boots and it kept them from aging so I could just get soles replaced instead of buying new boots.

Why is this 40$, it's 15 elsewhere?

If its $15 elsewhere buy it. My local redwing dealer retired a few years ago and my boots were showing dryness so when I saw it here I bought it here.

Is this recommended for boots with a waterproof lining like Gore Tex?

I’ve used this oil on mine with a water proof lining and haven’t had any issues
