I used to have a pyrex glass mixing bowl of this size. It was heavy. One day I dropped it and it shattered. I replaced it with this light weight plastic bowl that I now use daily for mixing my morning oatmeal and cooking the oatmeal in the microwave. It is perfect.

I purchased this for my Regency Gold restorative furniture polish. This container makes it easy to carry and use the polish more easily and to pour the polish back in the bottle.

I DO LOVE THIS PITCHER, THE BOWL IS THE RIGHT SIZE AND IT HAS A REMOVABLE HANDLE. I DO NOT LIKE THE PRICE FOR THIS RED COLOR ONE. SOME OTHER COLORS R LOWER AND WORTH THE PRICE. WISH THEY WOULD STICK TO LOWER THE PRICE AND MAKE IT THAT ALL COLORS R THE SAME PRICE.

I love that the handle is removable makes for easy cleaning and storage.

I had been looking for a smaller (6 cup) mixing bowl, that was microwave safe to replace an old Rubbermaid clear mixing bowl that I had used for years, and it was starting to crack, so I needed a replacement asap. The smaller size was hard to find, so I decided to try the Calypso 2 qt (8 cup)because of the availability and price, and positive reviews on Amazon.This is a great kitchen tool, and one I would not want to do without! The quality of manufacture is excellent, and even though it take up more storage space, I have found through use that the larger bowl is easier to use, so I am glad now that I went with the larger version that just allows easier mixing and cooking (in the microwave) than my previous smaller 6 cup size. Yes, it takes up more space to store, but you can remove the handle if that will help with storage (unlike my previous one), but I don't remove the handle myself, and it is not that much of a bother to accommodate the larger size in my cabinet, as I have discovered.I still wish it was made of clear plastic because it is easier to measure and see what is going on in the microwave while cooking for many cooks (though I am not strict in measuring for how I cook), but I bought instead the highly discounted lime green (worse in pictures than in person), but I can live with it as is, for a discounted price from the colors I would have preferred (blues, turquoise), or even white. But at least the lime green makes it very visible in the cabinet, and not obnoxious in plain sight when cooking. If it were clear, it would be more versatile though, and I would encourage manufacturers to pursue this attribute to increase sales and please more customers, if it can be done easily.Still, until someone delivers a clear version at a reasonable price, this is it, as far as I am concerned. I like the extra room for mixing, and find the lime green sort of pleasing even to a blue lover, and one who would prefer clear for easier sight cooking in the microwave, and measuring for those who need to measure in their cooking.

The only negative I have with this bowl is that the detachable bowl is too easily detached.

Love this, from the size to the color, to the removable handle for easy storage. Now I want it in multiple sizes!

This bowl is so great when making pancakes! You can mix up the ingredients in the bowl and then use handle to pour mix out on griddle. Less to dirty .. I love it!

Easy to pour pitcher, easy to clean and is very sturdy.

Light ( than my ceramic bowls) and the handle is easy on the hand for pouring out batter etc.I put in the dishwasher to clean w/o problem.

Wow! I can't believe such a lovely measuring bowl even exists!!! Extremely practical, pretty color, and so lightweight. Much easier for my old arms to move around than pyrex bowls! My new go-to mixing bowl, and measuring cup. I'm tempted to buy a second...
