Women's Gorgeous Pencil Dress Cap Sleeve Tweed Pencil Dress for Work

I bought this dress in four colors. It is so flattering. I have gotten comments everytime that I wear it that it fits well and looks stunning. I love the stretch. I have worn it for black tie events and casual events. Gives me an hourglass figure!

This is one of those items where I thought, dang this is nice, I have to write a review. Im 4'11, 115lbs. Most dresses hit way below my knees, which I dislike. This dress hit a tad above my knee caps. Which i love. I was not sure how I would like the neckline but it sat perfect on my chest shoulders and is unique. The dress hug my body like a glove. I am a 32c and this dress makes the girls look good. Although I would think if your larger on top, you would want to size up. I ordered small and there in no wiggle room. The material is good, aligned with the price. I will have to wear a slip to smooth my little bumps out. Over all, love this dress. Going to order another one.

I purchased the pink tweed using the manufacturer size chart. I always buy based on bust measurements because that’s the hardest point for me to get things to fit properly. This dress was spot on! Use the size chart included in the photos! While I hate that the size charts from China always make me feel like I am a bloated toad I do buy based on measurements and ignore the size. I advise buyers to put aside vanity and do the same for the perfect fit. This dress is very pretty on and gives classic Chanel vibes. I paired it with some shoes that I found also on Amazon that were Chanel dupes and it was an amazing outfit. The dress is extremely comfortable. However it is unlined. It would look more expensive if it had lining! For those who aren’t used to wearing old school slips, buy one. The dress will look much more expensive when it is gliding over you vs. sticking to your skin. I did that and it truly looked so beautiful. The neckline is very unique. I loved it but did have to adjust my bra so it did not peek out on the lower corners. It wasn’t a big deal but just be aware that you may encounter this. In terms of the fabric— I would agree with other reviewers here. This is a loose tweed. I don’t know how this would hold up for everyday wear. I could see this pulling and snagging easily. But then again there are sweater dresses and people buy them so there’s that. For my purposes it works great. This is the kind of dress that is a time capsule dress. It’s a classic. You can dress it down with a cardigan or crew neck sweater and a pair of flats, or dress it up with a blazer and pumps. It terms of it being a scratchy fabric, I disagree. So many fabrics these days are slippery sports type poly or nylon or Lycra. I deplore them. If that’s what you are expecting then you won’t like this fabric. Tweed has more of a wool or cotton/linen feel which by its very nature is heavier and less soft than something like a yoga pant or legging. Tweed is also a woven fabric vs a knitted fabric so there is a texture difference. I found the dress to be comfortable which says something since I have a nerve disease that makes scratchy fabrics literally painful to wear. But I wore appropriate undergarments so that could be the difference as to why I didn’t find the fabric bothersome. Would I recommend? Yes. Do I wish it was lined? Yes. Is it comfortable? Yes. Do I think it will hold up over time? Questionable and only time will tell. Am I pleased with my purchase? Yes. Would I buy again? Yes. Update: I bought a second dress, black (plaid). Again I followed the size chart included in the photos. Just as with the first purchase, this second dress was a perfect fit for me. The more I have worn the first dress, the more I love it. It is so comfortable! I suspect I may be back for another (third) dress maybe in green or blue. Two of my friends liked it so much they have ordered for themselves. I will say this is a beautiful cut, and also emphasize that I wish it was lightly lined in the skirt. It looks incredible on!

Not going to lie, this is my FOURTH dress I’ve bought in this style! (Either with a pencil skirt or fishtail) I absolutely love the fit; it’s very flattering- hides my tummy! The neckline shape is unique and pretty, but most of all, this pink print is so much fun! A great addition to my “church” wardrobe!

The sizing was perfect for me and there is a good amount of stretch to nicely hug your curves. The material is light and isn’t see-through which I appreciate. It’s now in my work dress rotation and I’ve received lots of compliments on it.

Pretty but needs liner. Had to return it. Otherwise, it was a good fit and looked nice and quality decent for price. Without liner tho it’s unwearable.

I bought this dress last minute for a conference and absolutely loved it! It fit true to size based on the sizing chart, and although it does not have an inner lining, it never felt scratchy on me. The color is gorgeous and the shape is perfect for busty or hour glass ladies. It also wasn't too thick and I didn't notice any wrinkles despite not ironing it. I received a ton of compliments and overall, this dress is a great value.

5'2 | 140lbs | SM <<< First clothes review, I get frustrated when I don't get this info from reviews. This dress was the best pleasant surprise all year!! The color is great - the product color and selling pics are the same; of course looks better in person. My favorite is the material - I was so shocked. Its lightweight - but not to thin, soft and is somewhat stretchy, somewhat textured, inside is lined, and has a 'thickness' to it. The last two combined make it so that it does not outline your panty and bra straps - cannot see them (Note this may change if you wear it very tight / stretched) and also smooths / camouflages things that we are self conscious about. Muffin top and belly for me. It wears fit on my form, not super snug. I love, love love this dress and receive several compliments whenever I wear it. This dress can be dressed up or down, its just great!
