Excellent corkscrew. I've tried half a dozen and this one works the best, making it easy to remove the cork cleanly.

I have been using inexpensive 2 stage wine openers from Trader Joe's and others for years. I find them easy to use and really like them. A couple months ago I misplaced the Trader Joe's opener and had to use a freebie one stage wine opener- what a pain. Then while traveling I bought another cheap one stage wine opener from Walmart and it was even worse- the metal prongs actually bent after a couple bottles making it impossible to get the cork out. Long story short, I wanted to go for quality so I bought this and it is easy to see and feel the difference. I am very happy with the purchase. It not only feels better in my hand, it works better. It is so easy to open even a tough bottle. The knife cuts through the foil easily- I think I underappreciated that feature in the past- and the cork screw really slides in a lot better. I bought a couple other inexpensive, not cheap, corkscrews to have for camping* and backup, but this is definitely going to be the one I use the most. * I do have multi-purpose / swiss army knives that have a corkscrew for camping and I can use them, but they are difficult to use some bottles and when drinking wine I prefer to be relaxed when opening the wine :)

This wine key works great for opening any bottle of wine, but there’s a big but, and two little ones: the first being simply cosmetic and easily remedied with a little glue. The side plates that make the marble look, came off soon after I bought it, but I just glued them back on no problem. The second “but” is that I find that not many people (including myself) are not fans of it being spring loaded on the part that goes agains the lip of the bottle, so just be aware of that. Lastly, if it matters to you, the bottle opener takes caps off by tilting in towards the bottle instead of pulling the cap off and away. I find it to not be as ergonomic but I’m nitpicking. I only gave 4 stars because of the side plates but it’s really sturdy and it has a nice aesthetic

This is the perfect cork bottle opener! I was always messing around with cheap and hard to use corkscrews, but this thing is amazing! Makes it effortless to open pretty much any cork you throw at it. The knife is nice to cut those seals off

Great wine tool. I was looking for a replacement for the cheap ones that keep breaking. I opened it, and it feels like a quality, well-made tool. There is a little weight to it, and the corkscrew is well secured. The dual hinge fulcrum is great and works flawlessly to remove any cork. Also, it's nice enough to leave on the bar top and not be ashamed to have a guest use it. Though for personal use, I would not think twice about giving one as a gift.

Just got this today. What a lovely, well engineered tool. I noticed reviews of other corkscrews mentioned poor finish and flaws. Not with this one, it is a delight to see and comfortably smooth to hold. At this price it’s a steal and you can’t go wrong.
