Pretty sturdy bag, great for composting - Our go-to bag

good bags, sturdy enough although if there is some liquid in the compost sometimes it leaks.

I purchased a package of these Sept. 2019 so I've had time to really assess them. I have a metal container and previously got my bags from the local grocery store. They were so expensive that I was driven to look elsewhere for replacements. I settled on these bags and am not sorry. I use them for everything that I can compost so that includes coffee grounds, egg shells, all kinds of trimmings and spoiling stinky stuff in the refrigerator. It usually takes me a week to fill the bag but sometimes I require 2. I have never had one tear but I always carry the can out to the green cart before I drop it in. I do get moisture in the bottom of the container but that's easy to remove. We are allowed to put paper towels and napkins in the green cart too so they go into the bag and that helps absorb moisture from all the juicy stuff. I will need to order again in the spring next year and will definitely get these. Very happy lady.

I purchased these in May of 2022. I'm just now almost out and shopping for another refill. We use these in a countertop compost container and change them weekly and I use them for cat litter at times. I have 0 complaints after 1 year of use. They work great. They've lasted me over a year too, so that's incredible. They hold up well to standard use. Like I said, we change them about weekly depending on compost accumulation. The bag is still holding up at a week. Will it leak if we put liquid in it and let it sit for a week? Yes. That's expected. Rip? Yes. They rip if I'm rough on them and rip them out of the compost contrainer when they're stuffed full. That's expected too. Gonna buy these again. Would recommend.

There is no problem with the bags. My issue is with the packaging. The item pictured shows a rectangular package, one that would easily slip into my foil and plastic wrap holder. The item that arrived is in an almost square box preventing me from storing in the wrap holder inside my cabinet drawer. That's disappointing. I'll have to remove the bags, re-roll them and place them inside my old box if I want to store them the same way....which I do.

I've been using these bags for a couple of years now and they're just a great, solid biodegradable bag! I can't imagine switching to another one any time soon. I use these for bagging my compostable food waste as well as other compostable items (kleenex, papertowels, paper napkins, etc.) and I find you can pack them surprisingly full and they hold up very well. I rarely ever have one leak and I do put quite a bit of liquid in them from time to time (i.e. milk that's gone bad). To be on the safe side I set the bag in something (like a countertop compost bin or a plastic grocery bag) to catch the very rare leak. I'm always amazed at how long the bags last with food in them - for us it's easily 2-3 weeks. We drop off our compostable items once a month and because of that timing, we also frequently freeze the full bags and we never have any problems. Again, we set them in something so they don't tear or rip when we take them out of the freezer. Any item that's long or spiny or sharp corners (i.e. pineapple leaves, fennel stalks, big rosemary sprigs, watermelon rinds), we definitely cut to smaller pieces because it will easily poke through the bag, but we don't feel that's a hassle. Overall an excellent product and great value for the price!

The compost bags are quality, but they did not come in a box as advertised. Instead it was delivered in a giant roll in a plastic bag, but the roll wasn't bound by anything so it all unraveled within the bag. Terrible.

We have been using kitchen compost bag for years buying from the local store in box of 25. This box of 100 is much more convenient and takes up less space. We will buy again!
