I've been using it on both electric and acoustic guitar and it works well. Keep the plastic on it when not attached to your guitar. This will help you reduce the dust between sessions.

Works well. Suction is strong and has held firm for several months. Its never come off since I first put it on. Holds phone firm, but may not fit with thicker cases that add bulk to the back of the phone such as a built in card holder. This is because the cradle isn't that deep. So it’ll grab wide but not deep.

Some of the reviews complain that the suction cup leaves a residue on the guitar when removed, this is not something I have encountered. The suction cup is made from the same material as the reusable lint rollers, a tacky plastic that can be washed under a tap when it stops being sticky bringing back extra adhesion.

The suction cup doesn’t stick to a timber finish well. End fitting failed after second use and requires re-glueing.
