Delicious!
I needed to get these for our New Years party and they were delivered just in time. Considering that I ordered them on 12/29! This brand is delicious and the quality is first rate. Sautรฉ them in butter, olive oil and garlic then serve on bruschetta toast with sautรฉed spinach then the escargot and then a little freshly grated parmesan cheese on top. Bake them for 5-10 minutes @ 350 , then serve. Your guests will be blown away.

The Best I have Used
Very nice snails. I have cooked escargots for over 100 times and these are the best snails from a can that I have used. The price is excellent also. The size is medium and there are 100 in the can. We don't prefer the "giant" snails that often come in a dozen to a small can. The giant ones have a lot of what looks to be digested oatmeal that has to be pulled off and cleaned before using. These Consul snails are good to go without any work except for poaching them with white wine, stock and herbs which one should always do to enliven snails before baking them in the snail butter. These are good size and super tasty. Excellent.

Taste is good. Good value.
I've purchased many other brands of canned escargot, and these taste just as good, and have the same texture as any of the others. Sure, some of the cans arrive dented. Who cares? The product inside is just fine. A very good value.

an update-packaging has cured dents in shipping,
A real plus for those of us that not only love escargot, but serve it to our guests, by the dozen!. Large snails, tasty and a great value. IMHO, quality is easily restaruant and compares favorably with the more costly french snails. Highly recommend these, and especailly if you love to have these by the dozen or dozen and a half. IN case you didnt know, consul is the restaurant version of Roland snails, as i undersantd things. I have also used the Roland Giant snails, and these are virtually the same, if a tiny bit smaller.

A bit over cooked already in the can
They are great but Id prefer to buy frozen although I don't have access to those. They are already well done

product good, packaging poor.
i have not used this yet. only one can came in not dented. the other 5 cans i threw out. i will not use dented cans of anything. i have had this product in the past and we enjoyed it. my market no longer carries these snails. i do not know when or how these cans got dented but i would not use them. the packaging was not so good when i received them. the inside air bag was broken on two of the boxes. maybe you should use peanuts in the future. if i can not find this product locally, i will probably try and order them again from you with the hopes that the packing will be better.

escargot at home
6 dozen snails for $15, in a restaurant they cost $10 to 15 for 6 snails, we shared them with another couple at a weekend getaway and ate the entire can in 2 days. they were tender and delicious.
