Silverback NXT 54" Wall Mounted Basketball Hoop, Indoor / Outdoor Basketball Hoop with QuickPlay Design

My 16 year old son and I mounted this hoop on our garage. It seems like a very good hoop/backboard for the price and it looks much nicer than some of the other affordable options. It took a fair amount of time to take all the necessary measurements on the inside and outside of the garage wall. We had to mount a few 2x6"s inside the garage attic to reinforce the wall studs. It was definitely necessary to have one person inside the attic and one outside as we drilled the holes and attached the bracket. As they say "measure twice, cut once", but in this case it was measure 17 times and drill once. After we got the wall mount bracket installed, the rest was very easy. The backboard and rim assembly was very straight forward. As others mentioned, you have to buy bolts with washers and nuts to mount the bracket on your wall. The holes are drilled for 5/16" bolts, but I drilled them out to fit 3/8" bolts for added strength. There are 8 total pre-drilled holes, but I only used 4 total bolts and it is very secure on the wall. The bolt length will vary based upon your particular situation. It took us 2 half-days to do the job, but you could do it in a full day.

The directions are easy to follow. The backboard and frame are very sturdy. Everyone comments that it looks soooooo good. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. I think the price was very reasonable, too.

I love the look and my boys love to hoop! Hasn’t been through the Ohio snow and rain yet so we’ll see. I hired a pair of awesome handy men to put it up on our garage and it took them a few hours and a run to the hardware store for mounting screws or something like that.

Good solid quality. Mounted above our garage. Son loves it and uses it every week. Only issue I have is the installation after you have mounted the support bracket to the wall. I love the fact that it hugs the wall (this is the main reason why I purchased it). I didn't need an adjustable one that hangs far off my garage. However, this makes it difficult to install because even with a ladder and being very close to it, it's difficult to both hold and align it while getting your arm and hand behind the backboard to connect it to the mounting bracket - especially if you are doing this by yourself!

I’m a professional assembler so it was pretty easy.I hung some plywood on the inside of my shop, then I put 2x4 where the brace goes and just lagged it in. The hard part was getting the backboard hanging by myself with no help. 8ft A-frame ladder is essential. When you’re hanging the backboard just try to get a single nut on the rim portion and then let it hang there so you can attach the rest of the brace to the backboard.A 6” adapter on an impact gun is helpful as well as channel lock pliers.If you don’t have a 16mm socket you can use a 5/8”.Overall great hoop!

Easy Install once you get the mounting hardware for your mounting application. I mounted this on a brick house using 3/8" expansion bolts. Works Perfectly.

Purchased to replace a Spaulding backboard that broke after one year of use. This backboard and hoop are soooo much better: it looks better and is sturdier. The Spaulding hoop felt flimsy and would create a lot of vibration. You won’t be disappointed with this hoop.
