High quality- mechanical, aptitude helpful
This is a very nice product- better than a rebuiltโฆ. I was surprisedโฆ. It only required , minor, adjusting with the electric choke setting and the high idolโฆ. Which is located on the opposite side of the regular idle screw.. This would be standard adjustments required on any new carburetorโฆ I also believe they have contact information to help you solve these minor issues - if they ariseโฆโฆ take a deep breath and ask grandpa to helpโฆโฆ. Or the neighbor โฆ.

Does what you think it will do
First things first, I put this on my 350 sbc and it ran without adjustment. Did its job. I wanted to finish restoring my truck, so it sat waiting repairs/upgrades. Admittedly, I could have prepped the carb for a couple month hiatus while I spruced up on the interior. Regardless I took the carb apart and cleaned the irresponsibilities out before trying to start and tune this damn truck for the final time. Now Iโm not the best hot rod mechanic this side of the Mississippi, but I know a q-jet like I know Riley Reid. This mf looks great, but the material quality is dogwater. The accelerator pump rubber is probably rubber cement glue molded to look like a seal. There is no corrosion inhibitors on anything so why use it. And the choke pull-off. The choke pull-off stopped working on my way-too-big cammed 1970 something goodwrench truck crate motor and it flooded my engine after a 3 start cycles and trying to time my engine. I did this for 4 days and the same thing happened. It was fine for the first few starts and I canโt start the thing. Did I mention my cam is too big? Anyways after rebuilding everything around this carb I just rebuilt the original q-jet that came with the truck and it runs great. TLDR this carb is a great plug and play, but it shouldnโt sit at all after itโs been through a heat cycle.

Bad buy
Put this carb on my 1986 chevy C10 with a 350, lasted 100 miles and then broke leaking gas out of everything. I knew right away as I pulled it out the box it was a bad carb. Its basically a Rochester Quadrajet rip off. I should have just bought a real rebuilt Rochester off of JEGS or Summit. Do not buy this carb for all you car guys out there I know the price looks good but the quality just isn't there.

Easy installation and tuning good power
After a little tuning it runs great out of the box I replaced an edlebrock 1406 carb with this on my 79 400sbc and it runs like a new truck. for how easy it is to install, the only thing to note is it doesn't have an air cleaner stud and the mixture screws on the base plate are a little hard to get to but that is mostly me not having a short enough flat head screwdriver, for the price and ease of installation it worth the cost

Quadrajet carburetor
1975 Chevrolet 350 pickup. First off, I've been building carbs for 55 years. All Quadrajet carbs are pot metal castings, this is the FIRST aluminum casting I've seen. Very good quality made in China. I had to take the top off to see inside and I had to put my touch on the carb. There was an issue with the choke linkage fast idle cam portion, I had to replace with a used part that I had on hand. I also had to increase the jetting, the carb was to lean. Beside having to tweak the carb, the casting is well built. I would recommend to a gearhead.

Inexpensive replacement for your worn out Quadrajet
Item looks great and bolted right on to my truck. I did have to adjust the idle screws and the power valve a little. The biggest problem was i had to back out the electric choke a full 1/4 turn to get it to kick off. That is way past the marks and pointer on the adjustment area. You can't beat the price!

Started leaking gas after one year. Don't buy.
Was on car about a year, started up and ran ok about once a month within that year. Now leaks gas near choke linkage. Don't buy it's not worth the savings if it leaks after a year.
