Exceeded my expectations. Works great!

I bought this sander because I wanted the extra battery for my other tools and the price was right to basically get the sander for free compared to the battery alone. Now that I have it, I think I'll find plenty of uses for it. My initial findings are pretty positive so far. The unit is small and light, but still feels powerful enough for the application. It seems well built for a lower end tool. Some other reviews touch on this and they are correct, this comes with a pretty low capacity battery so it won't run for a really long time between charges... Not that big of a deal to me considering how I use it. My two biggest complaints are design flaws. The whole appeal of a detail sander is that it is compact and nimble. The location of the battery makes this unit a fair amount larger than the corded type (most you hold from the top right about the sanding head). This doesn't make the unit bad by any means, but I think I would prefer the smaller one for some tight situations. The second thing is that the dust port and battery are too close. I think it's harder to use with a vacuum than the traditional corded ones are because of this. On the positive side, this sander goes on sale alot on Amazon making it incredibly affordable. The unit is obviously more home owner grade, but since it's a detail tool anyways it's not meant to be abused. This seemed like a good time to get the cheaper tool and save the money to buy a contractor grade item for something else. Overall I've been happy with it.

Works great less dust with the vacuum catcher.

Not only is it cordless, it's versatile enough to do many many different types of projects and if you already own BLACK & DECKER tools... YOU'RE ALL SET, POWERED UP! It drains VERY little power during use and lasts a long time. There is another B&D sander available BUT I highly recommend this one over the other cordless model. Although I probably will end up buying the other one and have both. Just remember to keep up stock on the various grit papers so you have everything you need. ALSO be sure to buy the large double power batteries to extend your usage. Look for 3.0mah, 4.0mah, 5.0mah, 6.0mah, 6.5mah, 7.0mah, 7.5mah & 8.0mah DOUBLE POWER batteries that are compatible with Black & Decker tools. You won't regret it.

I just started refinishing furniture and wanted a little sander without a cord. I opted for this Black and Decker and absolutely love it! It's as powerful as I need and now my husband often grabs it when he needs to do sanding.

I bought this to tackle an area in my bathroom where the paint had peeled and found it so easy to use. I did not expect that it would be as light to hold as it is and it makes very little mess at all. Not a handy person but this sander did the job I had easily and looked great when done. Any woman can easily maneuver it and will be delighted to see how great it works.

It's obviously not going to be as powerful as a plug-in brushless multitool with sanding attachment, but is good for lighter jobs or those preferring a cordless option. The battery life is not super long, but fortunately we have 3-4 others from other B&D tools that we could plug in and rotate for an extended job. My in-laws have been using this to help with sanding some wall edges as we are refinishing floors in our new (old) house because the oscillating multitool was a bit much for them. Despite using it for who-knows-how-long with a completely jam packed, clogged up dust bag before I checked it, the tool kept on working well for them.

** DO NOT BUY** !!!!!!! Bought from Amazon. It took ages to arrive only to find it has a foreign mains so it cannot be charged. I have never seen this type of plug before. Absolutely useless Returns label says INDIANAPOLIS USA, and they will be refund when it’s received. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE AMAZON.

This item is nice. Easy to handle if used by a lady. Does a good job on sanding would recommend

Esta lijadora la compré porque tengo otras herramientas que utilizan la misma batería. La compré más por tener otra batería. Es una lijadora ligera, pequeña. Es para ocuparla en espacios reducidos y uso ligero. Las lijas que usa se pueden conseguir pero debes comprar con la misma cantidad de orificios para que pueda depositar el polvo en su bolsita. La bolsita de polvo es pequeña, un poco dura de quitar y poner. Yo al colocarla ya no la pongo hasta el fondo. Si se mantiene sujeta y es mas fácil así para quitarla y vaciar el polvo. Para uso ocasional pienso está bien. Es de una velocidad.

Sander works great. Small and easy to handle. Dust bag should be emptied frequently but is easily emptied. I have several B&D tools that all work with the 20V batteries which is real convenient. easy to change the sandpaper too.
