Loved it
You couldn't help falling in love with both Mat and Wyatt. Both men had different disabilities but overcame them and survived.

Good
I like this story, I liked Wyatt and Mat. I think the physical descriptions of Mat were off from previous books. In Sages book he’s described as a twink and here he’s described as tall, and completely different from the model on the cover. Prob not a big deal to many but that’s a pet peeve of mine.

Just keeps getting better and better!
Just a note to start off - I recommend reading the series in order - I think the closeness and history of the group loses a lot is you're not aware of each books story.I love this series and this book did not disappoint! Mat and Wyatt's story is full of feelings and discoveries.Mat was a medical resident when the results of a terrible car crash almost killed him and left him unable to read or write. Seeing how he has fought back and adjusted how he does life is inspirational. He found his "family" in the Iron and Works group and everyone should have people that support them like they do! Wyatt has been almost blind since birth, got caught up in his husbands scandal, Wyatt is innocent, and left Canada and his controlling family, for Colorado and just happened to end up in the town Iron and Works is in. Ah fate I love you! Their story is acquaintances, to friends, to wanting more, to lovers - Mat always thought he was straight - mostly but what he feels for Wyatt isn't just friendly! They have a lot to work through - insecurities abound - but the goal of being together and for each other is stronger than fear. It is wonderful to see their support for each other during the whole book. As always I'm looking forward to the next book!

4.5 parfait stars!
I’ve always loved this series and while I loved some books and didn’t love some as much, I think this is among my favourite, if not THE favourite of the series. Wyatt made some very brief cameos in previous books but he kept mainly out of it. Mat was around more but his story was a pretty tightly kept one. So it was really rewarding for me to finally know both their stories.I’m really happy with the pacing and the story arc in this book. There wasn’t any drama between Wyatt and Mat, which was a relief since they’ve had way too much going against them without them having added drama between them. I love that they both save themselves and neither relies on the other to be the provider or caretaker. As with the rest of this series, I adore that the characters each have some physical limitation. I don’t think it classifies as a fetish to love damaged characters. I hope 😳 but I love it all the same because as much as it opens my eyes that people who aren’t “normal” can do as much or more than people who have limitations.I love the resilience and the strength it shows and that while natural selection scientifically means that the weak get phased out, one can never underestimate human will 💪Anyways, I’m so happy to have read this book. I can’t even begin to speculate who the next book is about. But I suspect it’s a certain damaged journeyman 😉 Can’t wait!

I enjoyed this book a lot. The whole series really has always just left me feeling very happy.Running thoughts:Okay. On one hand, a year has passed by pretty quickly and that annoys me because I’d like more build up there? But also, I love how it went through the whole year and didn’t get weighed down in the stories of all of the other guys. Right? Like I read another series where it was a group of guys and their partners and by the last book I really just felt like I was reading the exact. same. story, but from a different POV and that was exhausting and this isn’t like that. Also, can I just say, how talented you have to be to write a book and have so much feeling and experience and life out into it without even describing what it looks like? So good.Oh no. My kid is totally going to be over 40 and still stressing out about my helicoptering, right? Hi, anxiety. The editing on this was a little sloppy, aye?Dude. French is so dramatic.I’d be okay if the series ended here. I feel content with the guys and where their lives are.

heartachingly beautiful and raw in emotions
This is the fifth book in the series, it must be read in order and it’s beautiful read! This author has a way with the people that most in the world would throw away: the weak, the flawed, the broken, the disabled, those with childhood trauma etc and they weave words into these flawed, beautiful, fictional souls and they come to life! I love this world, it’s people and I just can’t get enough! From the very time Wyatt is mentioned in the previous books, I’ve loved his strength and independence . Mat and him are just so beautiful together

Only ok when compared to the rest of the series
This was an ok book but not one of the stand outs of the series. I didn’t get as invested in the characters as I did in some of the others. This is still a decent book, and I wouldn’t skip it if you’re reading the series, but if this is the first time you’re approaching the series, go back and read the first one. I was a little thrown off by the time frame. It seemed to be inhabiting the same timeline as the other books? I had a hard time placing it in context with the other books.

Yeah! Once again great book
I loved Wyatt and Mateo’s story. How they respected and helped each other with support and understanding. Great read, well written and good pace. The balance between the hard emotional part (memories or bad situations) and the romantic one is good. I recommend this book! There is one wrong translation from the French from Quebec to English (pick up lines) and it’s the one about the sun in your eyes, the last part should be: I tan when you look at me. It’s not I’m torn when you look at me ;)

Excellent
Vive Mat !!

Loved this story 5+ stars
Ms. Lindsey’s Irons and Works series is one of the best. All of the characters in every book have wormed their way into my heart. I’m thrilled that book 6 will be released this Fall and I look forward to reading it.Do yourself a favor. Share a few hours with the characters of Fairfield, Colorado. You will not regret it.
