Q: Is the gig bag included?

no, the gig bag costs about $150 extra. I skipped it. Great amp!

Q: Is this amp designed more for electric or acoustic guitar

I think it is designed to accommodate both and it does have the combination 1/4” phone plug/ Canon plug inputs. I mostly use it with an ES-175 and it sounds great and has PLENTY of power for any jazz gig. But it also sounds really good with my acoustic L5 with an AKG stick-on pickup. There are plenty of acoustic guitar-specific amps out there but this is not one of those. BTW, I’ve had mine for about a year and I love it.

Q: Does the carry case come with the amp?

In the past, the gig bag was not a standard accessory included with the amp. However, in the last year, all of The Bud amps are shipping with the gig bag included. You do not have to buy directly from Henriksen, as the previous comment indicated, to get the gig bag with the amp.

Q: Is this a tube amp? Not clear from description.

The BUD is not a tube amp. That said, it has amazing full, warm tone that is greater than or equal to any of my (several) tube amps. Their New Forte amp has a tube preamp section. I have not yet played one.
