Q: what area will a can of paint cover?

Depending on how many coats you need, it covers about a panel ie a wing or bumper, it's realy is more of a small area repair.

Q: I'm fitting mud flaps to my astra sports toura and i want to colour code the them will this be suitable

No idea but the paint for my car was a mile off

Q: Do you need to use a top coat or lacquer with this ?

I just rubbed the surface down and applied the spray, o problems ,perfect match.

Q: Do i need primer? based on the description the paint spray can include both base paint and primer all in one. so i don’t need to apply primers right?

Mine certainly needed a primer, i did my job as needed and it looks amazing, then i noticed a chip elsewhere so i just painted on a little neat without primer, it didn't stick very good and the colour was slightly off which is not the paints fault. For the small cost of a primer just do it, it also helps fill i any imperfections in the body filler so its well worth it.
