Although I have been 3D printing for over 12 years, I never found much use for a dryer until recently when I bought some more exotic filament. I have used this unit a few times and found it very effective and fairly easy to use (if you read the instructions). You can set time and temperature and monitor the humidity in the camber with the digital display. The unit is extremely quiet and it has an option to feed the filament directly to your printer. Great unit and you can't beat the value with the price point. A recommend for anyone who needs a basic filament dryer at a great price.

Using this thing is very confusing to start, and there are not clear instructions included. That being said, I figured it out eventually and am pleased with the results. It does have a fan inside, so the air circulates quite well. I leave a reusable silica gel packet inside to help facilitate the drying process. Once turned on, the only way I have found to turn it off is to let the timer run out. You can adjust the temperature and the timer. Theoretically, it has a hydrometer inside, but I'm not convinced that it is accurate. Interestingly, part of why I purchased this dryer instead of Sunlu's more popular model with the screen on the side is because of the forward-facing screen, but in my setup, I would have benefited from the side screen more. since the filament has to bend in strange ways to get to my printer if I want to see the screen. It is a bit noisy, though quieter than my old Ender 3 V2 Neo and my P1S. The frequency at which it operates is the annoying part; it gives me a migraine, and it sits right behind my desk. There are two slots for filament built into the dryer. One on the front top curve of the lid, and one right where the lid meets the body. This second slot has an included plug to keep humidity out, but the plug falls out pretty much every time I open it. More annoyingly, it likes to fall inside of the dryer and has almost fallen into the vent hole many times. Both slots can accommodate a PTFE tube like the spares included with a Bambu AMS. This is necessary for proper operation in my opinion as the slots by themselves are at awkward angles and risk bending or breaking filament/putting unwanted strain on the extruder motor. There are very small PTFE slices (??) included with the dryer that I believe are supposed to fit into those slots to soften their edges, but it doesn't help much. I haven't seen condensation build up inside when I'm drying filament, even without a silica packet, but I have recovered an old roll of PETG and several rolls of PLA, and now printing with TPU is much easier. All of this is to say that it does its job quite effectively, but I wish a company would be more intentional in their design process.

This doesn't work as well as the S2 but it still does a great job. I have a dryer for every printer and this came in at a great price so I thought I would try it, and its another great Sunlu product.

Seems to work as described and expected... it was hard to tell how well it was actually circulating so I manually rotated the spool every couple hours while testing it. It's not ideal for storage since it can't be sealed tightly but never intended to leave it in there anyway.

Oh, this version has a fan in it, which is an upgrade to the previous version, it also tells you what the humidity inside of it is. However… The fan started sounding louder than my printer after one month of use. The temperature sensor is literally taped to the heating element so you're definitely getting an incorrect reading and I believe that they're using this to their advantage. The overall design is flawed as many have set. Most importantly, you can get a much better product for this price. They know where for the moisture to escape. 55° is only good for PLA --- BUT IT DOESN'T REACH 55. Heating element gets to 55°, but because of the lack of airflow and the awful design of everything, the inside temperature will not even reach 40° realistically. Like, if you put an accurate temperature sensor in there, you won't see over 40°. You can search on YouTube a bunch of upgrades for this product, which could improve it if you have all of the materials needed. But once you consider the $20-$30 worth of crappy upgrades (and time) that you need to put into this product for it to be even a good PLA dryer, you could EASILY get a already working filament dryer for that price. I bought this product because I was uninformed and clearly some of the reviewers are as well. I thought the people that were being negative were just...I don't know. I don't know why I still bought it. Probably because of the price. I don't know. Seriously does not even do what it was designed to do. Don't get this. I also probably don't recommend the version 2, because the biggest problem is the lack of "moist air out and dry air in" Literally, the laws of science don't allow for this product to do what it was designed to do. I spent all the money upgrading mine, since the fan broke after a month and it was past the return date, and it's still a bad product! (I added double fans, accurate hygrometer and temp sensor, intake and outtake vents, timer relay, temperature controlled fan on/off - still a bad product. The heating part does not get hot enough to dry even PLA.) Please take my advice. Buying this product is literally the same as wasting your money. You're better off buying a good set of filament storage bags and/or completely new filament than trying to use this product to fix your print problems. Buy a different dryer. Save the money. Do not waste it here.

First impressions - As others have mentioned, it’s very subpar. While the front screen reads 55C 19% Rh, a thermometer/hygrometer that I placed inside near the top is putting out closer to 40C 30% Rh Considering this listing claims it to be capable of drying PETG and ABS, but the actual internal reading hardly seems to approach PLA drying temps, I’m not so sure this is worth the money even though it’s cheap. —EDIT TO ADD— after several hours it did reach 45C at the top of the chamber and about 17% Rh, so for PLA it’s fine but you probably will want to dry it much longer Beyond that, there’s really no air exchange. It does have filament ports that could theoretically vent some of the moisture air as it heats up, but I doubt it’s effective. At the very least, if you decide to get it anyway, you’re going to need to dramatically extend your drying times. If that’s ok with you, then give it a go. Personally, I wish I spent the extra money on something that actually does what it advertises.

This little dryer is very easy to use and works as you’re running your print. It allows you to feed the filament through either of its existing channels and works fast. You can set the temperature range for your own filament and set the time you’d like it to run for. Overall, I recommend this dryer if you have a small printer such as the Bambu Lab A1 or A1 mini. A small drawback is that it’s a bit bulky and you’ll need a bit of space to set it up to effectively work with your printer.

Niet het eerste waar je aan denkt, een PLA filament droger. Maar PLA is een lastig product, bij een wat hogere luchtvochtigheid trekt het spul water aan. Daardoor krijg je rare printeffecten, gespetter door stoomvorming in je hotend en slecht hechtende lagen. Dit ding droogt je filament en je houdt daardoor vaak onbegrepen problemen op afstand.

Marche très bien, mis a part la T° qui triche de +/- 5°

Einfache Bedienung. Temperatur und Trockenzeit gut Einstellbar.

This is great, works well, has 2 holes where you can feed the filament straight into the printer, I keep it on while printing in PETG. Print quality and bed adhesion has definitely improved. Extremely easy to use.
