The kit came with all of the tools needed to give yourself a barbershop quality shave in your home. The quality of the products included in the kit are great. I like the weight of the straight razer and the quality of the starter blades. The soaps and pre/post shave products really smell great! They are a nice sandalwood base. I like the tin cup and shaving soap that comes with it. With the included "badger" hair brush (not made from badger hair - but synthetic), you can really get an excellent foam from the soap and cup. This was my first straight razer kit and I am really pleased with the quality of everything included, right down to the packaging. This kit is highly giftable. The only issue I have is the lack of instructions on how to use each of the products. After doing a deep dive online, I found videos and tutorials on how to shave yourself using a straight razer, as well as, how to shave someone else. All in all, the price of this kit at the time of ordering was $40. I found this to be an excellent price point to get started in the world of straight razer shaving. It should be mentioned that straight razer shaves do take MUCH longer than with a disposable safety razer. It is an experience and a time for self care. Extra care is required because the blades are really sharp. There is also a learning curve to shaving this way. You really need to invest time and learn the method, before diving in. I recommend this set for beginners because it includes everything you need to get a good close shave, the products are good quality, and the packaging is quality grade and suitable for gifting. First time trying a shaving kit like this one. Everything was included that you would need for shaving plus extras which gives you the option of shaving with soap or cream which I found to be a big help. Great quality and amazing value especially as individually certain items cost the same amount as the kit.
