Gorilla Mats 15x6' Premium Large Yoga Mat

This mat is a game-changer. The 9' x 6' size gives me plenty of room to stretch, do yoga, and even follow along with HIIT workouts without stepping off the mat. The 8mm thickness is perfect—soft on the joints but still stable. The grip is excellent and it doesn’t slide on my hardwood floors. I turned the corner of my living room into a workout area, and this mat was exactly what I needed. It’s big enough for me to move freely, the cushioning feels amazing, and it instantly makes workouts more comfortable. Rolls up easily and comes with straps that actually fit.

I purchased the 9' x 6' mat. I was looking for something to do the pilates videos I have. I have a few yoga mats, and out gym floor is covered with the foam puzzle tiles. Still I found the foam tiles get dirty easy, and slippery. My yoga mats never worked for me because my videos go forward and back and side to side, so I was always stepping off the mat. Since it looks like I'll be working out there a while (husband is working from home indefinitely, kids schooling at home.....), I decided this mat was worth the cost. The mat is as thick as I hoped (same thickness as my favorite yoga mat - bad knees) and it's huge. I can easily step in any direction or roll over or whatever and still be on the mat. I will say, I am 5'10" and the 6' side just cleared my head (so thinking a bit shy of 6'). The "bumps" on the surface are more pronounced than I thought, but not a deal breaker. The mat is squishy. There is more give than my mat of the same depth and I can see prints when I walk on it, but they disappear quickly. The surface is enough I would trust doing yoga on it. I really appreciate it came with straps, and a bag. I have 3 cats, and well, cats are jerks and think my mats are their scratching posts.....so i will roll it up after every use. I included two pictures. The first to show you the size. For reference, that yoga mat is a "long" one, about 85" if I recall. The second picture is to show the surface compared to my mat (Manduka Pro for reference).

Works perfectly. We wanted a large mat for a dedicated workout area in our den, which has hardwood flooring. It rolled out beautifully, is nice and thick-feeling underfoot without being bulky - approximately 1/4" thick. No unpleasant odor. We have both an erg and a stationary bike sitting on it, with room to spare for mat work. The color is a nice deep blue, not too bright and not too dark. I wanted a color alternative to black, but didn't want anything flashy - this works great. When doing mat exercises on it my back feels fine, no additional cushioning needed. It beats my old yoga mat, that's for sure. Love that there are so many sizes available, allowed us to customize the sizing to fit the area we needed without placing a 'custom' order. Carry straps and workout towel were nice extras. Company reached out several times during the ordering process and after delivery, to ensure we were satisfied and didn't have questions. All in all we're very pleased with the product.

I love to use Shine dance fitness routines however exercising in my living room on our carpet was not ideal. Due to the thickness of the carpet my moves were sluggish and I was breaking down the carpet fibers and it was ruining our newly laid carpet. I wish I would have bought this exercise mat years ago! They have so many sizes it’s easy to find the perfect fit!!! I chose a routine that used the most space and marked how far I would move during my workout then measured how big of an area it was afterwards. It’s perfect bare foot or with socks. Adequate thickness …not too thin but also not too thick that I “sink” in too much and can’t quickly move onto the next motion. this mat also worked great in our basement. We have concrete flooring with thin carpet over top and the concrete was too hard on my feet and knees but this mat provides enough cushion that working out is finally comfortable!!! Highly recommend this product and this company!

This mat is a beautiful color, super soft and high quality, but it is pretty thin so I ordered 2 of these and now it's perfect for my room.

I got this product because I have hardwood floors and my wife was upset I was doing beachbody workouts and ruining them with my sweat. I got the 9x6 one, and I feel it is plenty big to do MMA and Insanity. I do not ruin my floors anymore and it is plenty big and durable. I have only had this for about 3 weeks but I've had zero issues and definitely believe it was worth the price. I did a Fakespot review on this product before I bought it, and was satisfied with it being around 80% given the amount of reviews. I do not believe any of the reviews are fake though after owning the mat. Plus the owner has reached out to me 3 different times to ask if I've had any problems. It's a thick nice mat and it was worth the price to keep my wife from getting upset with me over sweating all over our living room. I will say this, you will like the mat, and if you don't you will have 3 emails from the owner you can respond to and just tell him you don't like it. He will help you. Anyway, happy workout!

*UPDATE* I didn’t know it, but I’d been working out on the wrong kind of mat! I mistakenly ordered & used the one for barefooted activity & it fell apart. I reached out to Gorilla Mats when it started to disintegrate & they told the mat I had wasn’t designed for heavy-duty use with shoes. I felt sheepish for ordering the wrong mat, but their customer service was next level. Thanks to Zach for sending me the correct mat & fixing my honest mistake. I am so grateful that quality companies with people who care still exist. I LOVE this mat! I feel safe when I’m working out, it provides just enough cushion without making me trip & it does NOT move when I’m doing quick transitional moves like skater jumps. I think it looks sharp & finishes out my workout studio perfectly. *ORIGINAL REVIEW* I just got my mat, but so far I am super pleased! I feel so much safer working out on this mat instead of the dusty concrete floor I have been working out on. No chemical smell. Lays flat straight out of the box. Grips just enough without tugging as I rotate. Just enough cushion for burpee jumps. I am very happy that I bought the XL.

I bought this mat in September 2024 and used it as intended. Within months it began crumbling and breaking apart — not from misuse, just normal use. The product is marketed with a "Lifetime Warranty," which is a big part of why I bought it. When I filed a claim and sent photos documenting the defect, the company denied it and offered only a 10% discount coupon — not the replacement the warranty promises. When I declined the coupon and asked for a proper replacement, they stopped responding entirely. I followed up multiple times over several weeks, including a final notice with a deadline, and received no reply. So buyers should know: the "lifetime warranty" was not honored in my case, and once I pushed back on an inadequate offer, the company simply went silent. The mat itself did not hold up, and the warranty that's supposed to protect you may not mean much when you actually need it. I wanted a durable surface backed by a real guarantee. I got neither. Cannot recommend.

I just received my 9 feet by 6 feet yoga mat. When I took the package from Purolator I noticed the height because I am 6 feet. This package should be at my height but it was not. I opened the box and I measured it to see how wide it was. Well, it was 4 feet wide not 6 feet. I looked at the sticker and it indicates 9 feet by 6 feet. That is interesting. It looks like the manufacturer used the wrong sticker on this product. I wonder when they were going to notice this mistake and check all their inventory. SO, WHEN YOU BUY THIS ITEM YOU MIGHT GET THE WRONG SIZE. The good news is that I was able to return the package. The good news is that we received the replacement within 5 days and it was amazing. SAD news we had to pay more because the one we ordered originally from amazon was now "not available" so we had to find another one but that company had another page that they were selling for more money. I feel this mat is somewhat oily and I had to use my 5finger exercise shoes to be able to do my DDPY without slipping. My wife found it great with no slipping issue but she does not workout to the intensity that I do. Anyway, all ended up ok.
