Fun, easy projects that teach science!
My son is not quite reading yet, but he always wants to keep cans, boxes and parts for “projects”. He always has ideas to build things, and wants me to help, but I have no idea what to to with the things he presents me with. I found this book and got it for his birthday. Like I said, he’s not reading yet, but he has been looking at the pictures and getting so excited! Not only does he book give you lots of projects to make out of stuff that you would normally throw away, but it also explains the science behind why it works. Very cool book. Glad I bought it. The projects look relatively easy -my son is 5 and I believe he can do most of these things with a little help. I am looking forward to quality time with him building and learning!

Great purchase my grandchildren love this!
I gave copies of this book to two of my grandchildren. They love the projects. They do need some support of the projects are well planned and put together. The only downside has been the collection of lots of odds and ends interesting containers for future projects.

It looks fun.
Purchased for grandsons ages 10, 7 and 5. They haven't received it yet as I've been gathering the supplies to make a "kit" so they won't have to search for materials. It looks fun.

Great for younger children
Great for younger children. It has some concepts in it that helped with teaching basic physics, kinetic and potential energy with a visible and hands on view.

This book contains fun science experiments for children to do that use some recycled materials along with other materials. The instructions include helpful tips and "reusable knowledge" which explains the science behind the experiment telling how and why it does what it does. I think that children will enjoy the simple experiments and the book will make a great addition to homes and schools and libraries. I received this book free to review from Netgalley.
