Best travel rod!
This is the perfect travel rod. Forget telescopic rods! I have really enjoyed this rod as it breaks down easily and is perfect for trout fishing in small or large streams. Word to the wise though it is not a Ugly Stik so you cannot wrench on it if caught on a tree or rock. The graphite is very thin and can crack or break if you do not use the rod properly. Held well against 6-12" trout and caught a 20" catfish on it also.

Not small unless you take the reel off every time you fish.
The rod is OK. But, I can't understand why the guy who made the bag didn't know you'd put a reel on it. The bag is completely useless, unless you take the reel off of your rod every time you fish. It's not very portable.

Probably my main rod now
I am slowly transitioning into an "ultra-light" fisherman and this rod is the tool for the job.Even when I go fishing for bass with my baitcaster I also bring this rod for the occasional sunfish or smaller bass.PS: I got this rod because it was recommended by EPF (YouTube). I think he uses the one that comes in 2 pieces but this one does a good job as well. Tight lines friends!UPDATE: rod snapped while I was trying to reel in a turtle (pic related). I recommend not trying to reel in turtles on ultralight gear.

Sensitive, light, excellent value
The rod is very light, sensitive, and well constructed. Using the 5' 6" size. Guides are smooth, reel seat locks the reel down well and the cork grip is comfortable. Caught 15 trout on it and couldn't be more pleased with the rods performance.

Great
I've caught multiple large trout with this rod paired with a shimano 500 size spinning reel. It's holding up great and is the perfect size for backpacking up to a lake for some high elevation fishing.

Broke on first snag. Look elsewhere
A trash rod and a terrible warranty system. After so much excitement I am supremely disappointed. Looking at and holding the rod I was very excited to use it, I've been waiting to take this on a backpacking trip since I got it this summer and have gotten the chance to cast with this thing maybe 20 times while I have been waiting. Took it out yesterday and it snapped at the first eyelet on literally my first snag ever as I was jiggling the rod with mostly slack line, one-handed with very little force to try to work the snag free on 4lb test line.Called the company, I have to pay to ship it in and wait minimum 3 weeks after they receive it to get a new one, if they have it in stock, which they don't until November. I should have known a quality 4 piece rod was too good to be true. Should've gone with the 2 piece and maybe I could be trout fishing this October without shelling out for 2 rods. The worst part is they wont even let me switch to the 2 piece for the replacement, so when I get a replacement I'm going to be stuck with a rod I absolutely do not trust.Save your money on this rod and maybe go with a different company altogether. Huge bummer because I love the style of the thumb grip. Boo on you Daiwa, you've lost a customer on how this was handled, unfortunate because I was eyeing some other stuff.

Stiff Rod
Bought this rod for Grayling fishing using a spinning bubble with a fly and a Daiwa 80 underspin and P-Line 12 lb. (very thin). The rod is a very stiff light weight travel rod, but it may pay off if you hook a larger fish. The construction is good, and I like the feel of the rod. Four pieces are 17 3/4" each. I have not fished with it yet.
