Cars (Disney/Pixar Cars) (Read-Aloud Board Book)

This collection of four board books is great for younger children, especially if they love the "Cars" movie. I purchased this for my 4 year old son back in 2011--he was about 18 months old at the time. We still have the books and yes, they are still in great condition. As you can imagine with a small boy, keeping books in good condition with him around is a challenge. It doesn't help that he actually likes to read. LOL The board books are perfect for him, because unless he cannot easily damage them--unless he makes a determined effort to do so. The books included in this set are "Mater", "Lightning McQueen", "Sally", and "Doc Hudson." Each story is told in the first person, and basically serves as an introduction of the character. For instance, in Doc's book he begins with "Hi, Folks! My name is Doc Hudson, and I'm the doctor and judge in Radiator Springs. I used to be a race car, but after I crashed, the racing world turned its back on me." He then proceeds to tell the story of how he came to live in Radiator Springs and his first meeting with Lightning. The story is really short, only five pages long, so the tale is really just a quick synopsis. The same is true for the other three books. All are written in a simple style, using easy-to-read words, and are beautifully illustrated. I see the product page has the recommended age range as 12 years and up. That must be a mistake. My son is 4 and he's just about outgrown these books. He still reads and enjoys them, but I would not buy them for him at this age. I'd say these books are good for kids 6 months-3 years old.

Great sturdy board books. Very colorful with a cute short story for each character book. Our 2 year old grandson loves them.

My two year old who's favorite show is Cars loves these books. They are very simple books that each tell a watered down portion of the story. Each book is from a different character's POV from the movie; Lightning, Mater, Sally, and Doc.The books are very sturdy which is great for when one of my children decides to get rough with them. The little case they come in is cute and while my boy likes carrying it around, it's made of a much thinner cardboard and I can tell it won't last very long.All in all, I'm very happy with this product.

The books are very sturdy. The content is a little boring, but I bought them for the images. My grandson actually spends more time opening and closing the velcro latch on the box than actually looking at the books!

I bought this book set for my 2 yr old son. He really enjoys having these books read to him. He also likes the bright illustrations. Some reviewers have stated that these books are a "watered down" version of the movie and they are. However, they are the perfect length for keeping toddlers interested. My son has only watched some of the movie so he doesn't really care that the books aren't more detailed. I like that the main idea of the story is told from rhe different points of view.

Although my son is not obsessed with Cars (he liked the movie and likes the characters but nothing out of the ordinary), he LOVES this board book so much, I kept it for as long as possible from the library. After months of returning it, he keeps asking about it so I finally decided to buy it for him. If the library book held so well for so long, I hope he will have it for a long time. The length is perfect for bedtime, the story is the movie condensed with a nice morale at the end.

Bought it for my nephew's 3rd birthday and he's a huge Cars fan! Anything McQueen on it is a yes for him! He was so happy he brought the books to his dad to read them.

Bought this book for grandson #1 and now passed to grandson #2. First grandson loves to read and is now 1+ grades above his grade level in reading. I can't say this book was the sole solution but his enjoyment in reading this book certainly helped. He has been the secret reader at grandson #2's preschool class several times and has no problems reading books aloud!

Great product, wonderful colourful book, fast delivery

real story of car

My 15 month old boy is car mad so I thought this Cars book would suit him. The fact it is a board book too is perfect as he is a bit rough with paper pages. It is colourful and an interesting, basic, simple version of the film plot. It isn't too long and he likes to point at the cars and say "car" which is adorable. A big hit.

表紙はハードカバーでしっかりした本です。大きさもA４サイズで、私の求めていた大きさでした。内容も詳しく、１ページに７〜８行程度の英文（全６４ページ）が書かれています。幼児は読めないと思いますので、大人の方が読み聞かせてあげると良いと思います。絵は、日本のカーズの絵本に比べて、多少、目が粗い感じですが、車大好きの息子は大喜びです。英語子育てを実践されている方、読み応えのある一冊でおすすめです。
