McGraw-Hill's Pre-GED : The Most Comprehensive Review of the Skills Necessary for GED Study

This is the best Pre-GED book I've ever ordered. I rated it five-stars because it's like the instructor in with you. It's explain in great detail and my grand daughter who I ordered this for passed her GED with flying colors. We received it Sept, 2012. She took the test January, 2013 which was her first time retaking it since she tried four years ago. She almost fainted when her results came in the mail, she passed. Now it's full forge ahead to enter college. I would recommend this to any and everyone who is trying to get their GED. I must add that Amazon.com is the best when it comes to delivering on time. My oldest son is home schooled and a junior in high school. He is using this book to prepare to take the GED at the end of the school year. The book is divided into 5 sections: Literature Reading, Literature Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. He works a little in each section 4 days per week and so far it is a great review for what he will need to take the test. I was very impressed with the pre-tests and post-tests at the beginning and end of the book, respectively, and how it makes it easy to compare what the student knows starting out versus what they learn or recall through the exercises by the time they reach the end of the book.

I am co-teaching Language Arts, a pilot program for the Lake County, Florida Adult Literacy Program and am using the McGraw Hill Pre-GED as a guide in developing the 16 week course, along with the Voyager Reading and Writing Series. The textbook is one of the best I have seen and covers all the areas required for our course. We are not teaching the Math or Science sections, just the Language Arts.We are preparing our students for the T.A.B.E. test, a prerequesite to enrolling in the GED program and most technical courses at our local tech. school.My teaching partner and I both purchased the textbook and recommend it.

It helps me study the basic in Math and Science because I passed my GED, but I need other topics like quadratic equation on basic algebra and molecular division of biology and in chemistry. Those topics would have helped me make my GED score higher.

I bought this book for a student of mine that was planning to drop out of school. I told him that he could take the GED test and get a GED diploma. He has been using the book and says it is easy to follow and not difficult to understand the information; plus he is staying ion school untill he takes the GED test.

My school teacher..I think everyone preparing for GED should get one!..its easily understand, contents are up to date with subjects just like the actuall exam,I knew I was gonna get my GED when I study this book..nd the price is so reasonable, I love shopping on amazon :D ..good product! good prices!!..
