What type of stain is used on the Smoke Lid? Is it safe?

Aged & Charred cocktail smokers use a food-grade finish that has been tested for safety. The finish is applied only to the exterior of the Smoke Lid to prevent direct contact with the flame.

Where do your wood chips come from?

Aged & Charred sources wood chips from multiple suppliers, depending on the wood type, availability, and other factors. Each batch includes a silica pack to eliminate moisture and ensure quality. Our wood chips have been tested for safety.

Do the wood chips expire?

While they don’t have a strict expiration date, we recommend using them within two years. As long as they are stored in the Aged & Charred container with the included silica pack, they will remain dry and maintain their quality.

Can I use the Smoke Lid on different glass sizes?

Yes! The Smoke Lid is designed to fit most standard whiskey glasses, rocks glasses, and other similar-sized drinkware. If using a larger glass, ensure the lid sits securely on top for optimal smoke infusion.

How long should I let the smoke infuse before drinking?

We recommend letting the smoke sit in the glass for 30-60 seconds before enjoying your drink. You can experiment with different times to find the level of smokiness that suits your taste.
