I loved this laptop. Unfortunately even though I'm currently still making payments on it, it is no longer charging. It will run for a limited amount of time while plugged in, but shuts itself down when it becomes overheated. I had to quickly purchase a chromebook,just to get me through, until I can get the battery replaced. Assuming that is the problem. I guess ultimately it' my fault for not purchasing insurance. I shouldn't have assumed this laptop would run properly for at the very least,the amount of time it took me to pay it off.

Have had it for a week big fan of the keyboard super comfortable for typing and other applications. Does tend to run hot so keep that in mind but awesome laptop great deal.

I bought this laptop as a gift for my husband last December. He loved it. This spring, I purchased an Apple laptop for myself, but was disheartened when I found I could not run Windows on it. So, we switched. I thought I was getting the big end of the stick. Wrong! The Surface 4 looks great - and the screen is beautiful. But it ends there. The keyboard - which reviewers have raved about as being great for writing is really third class and shallow with hardly any depth. It is worse than the old Apple laptop keyboard. Plus, the chassis sags as you type. Really shoddy for the price.

Product was faulty out of the box. Would shut down and make a popping noise with any movement of the laptop, which as it is a laptop and meant to be moved happens often, like when moving it an inch or placing it down on something. Attempting to exchange the product has been a huge pain. After chatting with an Amazon representative, which appeared to be the route to a replacement we were asked to trouble shoot an issue that no amount of trouble-shooting would fix. Then we were told that Microsoft would contact us, they didn't. We called Microsoft # in the email we got about follow up and the message said we had to submit the issue online. After doing so we were offered a refurbished product. Disappointed that it didn't work, that the exchange process is this broken and lastly, that in exchange for a new product we were offered a new one.

Too good to be true -- this device was literally everything I ever wanted -- lightweight, great build quality, great battery life, etc. But buyer beware, don't think it won't happen to you -- I owned this for 1 year and 1 month, conveniently after the manufacturer's warranty, and the screen just started to crack like a brittle piece of potato chip and I have 6-8 ugly hairline cracks throughout. Mind you, I baby this product and it lives on a desk, virtually nothing could have caused this trauma. Read the reviews, this is a problem persistent with Surface Laptop 3 models to the point where they had to offer replacements for free. This time it's not the case, you'll have to fork up $400 for a replacement, even if the defect is on their end. Incredibly disappointed.

It was easy to set up, love the touch screen, but I still is a scroll mouse sometimes. Functional for my home office.
