If you are looking for an easy, well explained introduction to Gregorian Chant either for yourself or a group, this book is certainly step one. Succinct, engaging, and full of examples, Dom Saulnier's book lays the foundation of chant before setting out to begin chanting.

This is a clearly written, succinct guide to Gregorian Chant. It places the music within the context of the liturgy. Highly recommended.

Difficult to read.

It’s a counterfeit product. Poor quality of printing one can barely read with ease and comfort. Never trust this again.

This book is not some someone who does not understand music theory. The history portion is interesting in that it explains what happened, but the story telling portion is a little weak. I would have liked it more if the book had gone into the "why" a little more.
