Great shower head, refuse to pay $400++ for the "Velocity" shower head in black - chrome in my other bathroom was a third of that price - but after trying countless others I found this one to have the best spray, pressure, pattern, etc. Not Brass as claimed, plastic backing etc. but appears to be high quality at a great price point made it the perfect find. Buy it and thank me later

Glad a looked a bit longer to find this gem. There are so many cheap not well made shower heads on amazon. Especially in this price point. This is the one you want. Well made, Quality materials and nice spray pattern. Highly recommended

Been a contractor for over 40 years and we have worked our way through many various high-end plumbing fixtures. When it comes to showers, Hans Grohe has always been among the top tier products. This 8-inch shower head is intended to be installed in our yet to be finished master bathroom. The nice feature of this rain head is the rubber nozzles that allow a simple finger wipe to loosen and remove hard water deposits. The included installation directions offer another method of cleaning the nozzle by filling it with descaling fluid. This however requires removing the showerhead from its mount. Unless you live in an area with really hard water, it might not be an issue. The item has a brushed nickel finish. Although the back of the head is black plastic, it is typical of other Hans Grohe product we have installed over the years and does not indicate a knock-off product. The only concern we have is the tightness of the ball swivel that allows you to redirect the stream of water. It is exceptionally tight and resists movement. For us, not a problem because we intend to use it as a stationary rain head. There are screws on the back that will allow for loosening of the clamp pressure, thus allowing easier movement if desired. We look forward to the finished shower and the luxurious flow of water from our new Hans Grohe head.

I believe this to be a fake. It has black plastic parts and started leaking at the connector that cracked. It didn’t last long. I bought another one from a plumbers shop that was the real deal. It was actual metal with metal fittings. It started leaking from the seams of the shower head. It weighs a half a pound less than the real one.

I was hesitant at first to try this shower head because I do not have a walk in shower or a long shower head stem. For this reason I was concerned that the coverage area would be too big for my standard tub. I was wrong! It does not spray out of my bathtub. I am so happy I decided to get this. It gives great water coverage and there is room to tilt and adjust even in my standard bathtub! The water sprays out softly but at the same time it provides good water flow because there are so many little spray nozzles. It feels like a moderate rain shower. It doesn’t take me long to rinse out my shampoo and conditioner which is a huge plus for me since I am always on the go. Also, I like the mirror finish and modern design. It doesn’t fog up so I actually use it as a mirror to make sure that all my eye makeup is off, lol. The shower head is easy to install too. You simply screw off the old shower head and screw on the new one. There is a little screen that goes inside the shower head before you install it. Make sure to look for it in the box. I can only imagine that this shower head would be just as nice in a walk in shower. No regrets here. I love this. NOTE: I just wanted to note I have been using this shower head daily. I have not experienced the squeaky noise experienced by a different reviewer.

Beware, this definitely drops shower pressure. Compared to the previous head it’s now a trickle and for 60 pounds the plastic finish is a bit naff
