Comfy, good quality, good price.

As someone who struggles to find comfortable footwear and blisters easily, I can't recommend these boots enough. Small hike of about 8k on rough terrain first wearing and zero rubbing, has to be a first. Waterproof as described. I'm a UK 6.5 average width foot and the size 7 is a perfect snug fit with a normal weight walking sock. Bit pricey but worth the money to have comfort.

Very comfortable walking boots with good tread ! They do fall small of normal shoe sizes if you like your toes to have a little room in your boots . I’m 5.5-6 so I bought size 6.5 and they are perfect 👌. Good value for money. Will see how they do in the mud and rain on the fells in the winter months .

These boots are fine for short general use such as walking the dog. Somehow, my feet always seem to be pushed to the front, jamming my feet into the toe box and making heel rub a real issue. For anything more strenuous, I still go back to my old Salomon X Ultra 3 Mid GTXs. The Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GTXs are also a definite step backwards from the 3s, in my opinion. I soooo wish they'd make the 3s again.

Insole like cardboard, very poor. I’ve worn Salamon boots for many years but will never buy again. The insole has gone from a good quality item to something not much better than a piece of cardboard, totally useless for supporting my feet which were aching after wearing. Extremely disappointing. Do not recommend.

I have worn Salomon hiking shoes for years but this will be the last pair. I bought on try before you buy scheme. I had the opportunity to wear in the home but it's not the same as a hike out. I am a 3.5 womens shoe size. The 4 was too small. I replaced with a size 5. Slightly longer than I need but the fore foot width was alright. So I thought!! Now after a long hike I feel I should not have bought them. Ahh!! Nostalgia!! The boots/shoes are generally well made but the ortholite footbed does little for comfort. The foot shape is long and narrow and as the feet heat and swell on a long walk the comfort level diminishes. Pleased to take the boots off. Short walks only for these!!!

This shoe is like a high top running shoe but with better sole. The heel is square, not rounded, so descending dirt, scree or soft snow is secure. I have rock climbed with them up to Yosemite Grade 5.6 although not technically a rock shoe. This is my third pair and they last a good season as I am hiking or climbing about 5 days per week as a professional. The waterproofing allows feet to stay dry when walking through wet/dewy grass. They are also good for running on mountain trails and off-trail terrain. The nylon web lace guides do wear through but the shoes are pretty much used up at that point.
