It is, not stiff, fits a lot of stuff, I tried putting comforter and towels in and let the air out to make it fit more in one closet. Zipper could be better but works fine.

Can this bag fit a cali king comforter?

Depending on the thickness, I believe it would. I have several king pillows in one. At least three or four blankets in another. They held all of my excess linens and keep them clean and fresh after washing until guests come. Then everything is fresh. No dust from what filters onto the closet shelves. I’m sold on them. They fully met my needs.

Will these tolerate very cold temperatures? That is, could they be used as chest freezer food organizers?

These aren't food grade storage bags and the handle will break if overweight. They are roomy but don't know if they would work for chest freezer organization. Good idea, though!
