There is a black plastic clasp at the back of the neck so that you can't get strangled (for safety - you would not want the safety clasp around the back of your neck to be metal - it would not detach!) The pretty silver buckle toward the bottom detaches so that it can be used as a smaller keychain when not in use as a badge holder or neck lanyard. We added a SUPER strong metal clasp at the bottom to hold badges or a really heavy set of keys! Each lanyard is 21" long from the neck to the bottom of the clasp and is 3/4" wide. ANNOYING CLASPS
I like the design of the lanyard strap...the yoga cats are darling. However, I really dislike the clasps. The metal clip at the bottom is so stiff that I have great difficulty attaching my ring of keys. The break-away plastic clip which rests on the back of my neck is soooooo annoying and irritating that I want to scream. I have learned that I must never again buy a lanyard with a clasp on the back of the neck...but almost all of them have that feature nowadays (boo hoo).

It is white
I know you know its white from the picture. But what I didn't think about is sliding it over my head several times a day. It rubs against my face and I get make up all over it. It is sturdy and cute but quickly showed signs of wear due to the make up. I also use Urban Decay finishing spray on my face after make up but it still shows up.

Reliable and secure
I was hesitant about the clip because most clips aren't secure. But I've had this lanyard for about a month and use it for my keys and sometimes my daughter uses it for her water bottle. It doesn't unclip until you want to pull it. It's great print and reliable!
